Actually, when I was... "pagan", I still never believed in deities. Not sure I ever have. As a kid, I thought the world was too evil, but despite being raised Christian, I just didn't care in the least whether God was real or not. Later, I was more concerned with other things -- learning as much as possible about magicks, the proposed nature of reality, planes and s**t -- but amusingly viewed the existence of gods as a stretch. Even as thoughtforms, I just viewed them being called gods as arbitrary and figured they were pointless. And now I'm just an atheist with no supernatural beliefs who sometimes wishes magic were real.

I feel a particular pull to Manannan Mac Lir, although I wouldn't say he chose me, that just seems kind of weird. I can't explain the way it feels, like I discovered him and something just kind of clicked and made sense? Not that that makes any. I don't really feel any sort of pull towards any others dieties. I don't believe in mythical sky people but to me it feels like more of an energy if that makes any sense. I don't know, whatever.

I'm hesitant to admit I do because I don't want want to be compared to other religious weirdos who toss all sense of logic out the window. It's something I generally keep to myself.
