Hiei
Hiei watched the girl through his Jagan eye as she repaired her wound. He still could not decipher what it could mean, even after witnessing it almost first hand. As Kurama stepped up to the ring for his preliminary, Hiei saw the girl come back to the front of the crowd. Intrigue and a sense of self-security made him confident enough to approach her. Silently and more shift than the eye could see, Hiei vanished into the throng and reappeared a few feet behind the girl. Gently, he said,
"Congratulations on your victory. It was most impressive."
He wasn't entirely sure that she wouldn't attack him or run away, so he continued talking, before she could do either.
"Yuri, wasn't it? What brings you to this tournament?" Hiei knew that Yuri was not this girl's true name, but he did not pry to see what it was. It had been a long time since he'd been a thief, stealing treasure, power, and thoughts.

Bario
After watching this red haired man cripple the three looming demons, Bario could say nothing. He heard the man's invitation, but could not register the intent behind it, and was sure that he would die in this place. Determined to, at the very least, go out fighting, Bario stepped back once and leaped backwards into the air. A few inches from the ground, he froze in place while a glowing, light-blue, bubble appeared around him. This was his power; force fields.
From the judge of how outmatched he was currently, he was sure not that he'd never fought anything nearly as powerful as this man. But, still, nothing to date had been able to break his shields in any way. If he only knew just how foolish we was.
Still suspended in midair, Bario summoned more blue orbs, shaking all the while. These were small and rotating around the large one that he occupied. With a flex of his energy, he sent a barrage of orbs flying at his opponent, praying that this actually worked. After all, he barely understood how energy worked in the first place.
