”More than a bit,” Harry muttered. The girl seemed to have had her feelings hurt pretty bad—though he wasn’t sure. She seemed to close up rather easily, though Harry supposed that she didn’t isolate herself… It would be embarrassing to be forced into the lake, especially with more than just their grade around to witness. Luckily, most had been paying mind to each other instead of looking to Xavier for instructions.

”What?” Elise said suddenly at Theodore’s comment. Arranged marriage? Draco was only 11 years old. ”It’s actually fairly common amongst the elitist families,” Annaliese replied, finally bringing her attention away from the clouds and towards the conversation around her. ”A lot of the older wizarding families, like the Malfoys, want to maintain two things: blood purity and tradition. Historically, in order to maintain blood purity in families, many found other pureblooded families to wed into, hence the arranged marriages.” ”… Well, he’s not going to find a girlfriend before he gets married, unless that Pansy girl takes the position.” Elise retorted. Even if he was used to getting anything he wanted, Elise was quite certain she wanted nothing to do with the boy. Ever.

Ron shrugged a bit and just looked at the spot the girl had vanished at and went about the flying lesson -- It wasn't long till it ended and by then it was almost time for dinner. Ron was more than happy at the idea of abandoning his broom and running in, though many of the students had grouped together at this point. "I wonder what's going on there?" He asked as he wondered over, abandoning the broom on the ground.

"Actually he's supposed to marry that Asian kid that beat him up. That's why he won't bother your sister. His parents won't do anything to her for the bad treatment." Theodore shrugged a bit. "If you want to avoid him just stay around that group." He hadn't really weighed that they were Gryffindors -- He didn't really care like many of the other students did. Between Yun and Adeliena, no one would bother them anyways.

Yun had hidden till people had forgotten about her. Her hair had fallen down and was stringy against her head and her dress was clinging uncomfortably -- And though she looked like a starved little boy, her worry had gone straight to her waist line showing. She couldn't really remember the needed spell since she was so anxious about showing herself. The anxiety had caused a lapse in her far from perfect memory. She just rung herself out the best she could and being careful to go out when everyone was grouping together and talking, she snatched up her broom and started walking with longer than seemed possible steps to get back in fast and when Xavier had approached her probably to apologize, she just stepped around him without giving in recognition that he existed -- Not even a violent beating like she'd given Draco.

Xavier just stood, confused at what was going on and looked at the nearest person too him, which just happened to be Mica. "Why's she acting like that?" he asked with genuine confusion -- Most people were used to random questions like that coming from him though a first year might think he was just trolling them.

[[[What’s going on over where?;;; I DON’T KNOWWW]]] Mica blinked before looking at Xavier. ”You pretty much tossed her into the lake with everyone around?” Mica replied, slowly and almost question-like. Had he not really known why? Or was he wondering what the students thought about the situation…? Mica was somewhat worried—what if she gave him an answer he didn’t want? She didn’t want to end up with another week of detention on top of the one she’d already had.

”I wouldn’t blame her for hitting him then,” Elise muttered, not having realized that the majority of students were starting to disband. Annaliese, on the other hand, had. ”We should probably go indoors. I’m Annaliese Thomas [[pronounced like toe-mah. Gogogo French!]], by the way. You can call me Anna, though.” She didn’t offer to shake her hand as she’d started making her way back to the castle. ”Elise,” she replied, following suit. Since everyone else had been introducing themselves as well, Blaise supposed that he could spare same. ”Blaise.”

[[Oh. It's the rememberall thingy. If we don't do it Harry won't become seeker. @_@ We know what happens there so yeah.]]

"I did it to Elise too and she didn't act like that thoughhhhh. People are so confusingggg." Xavier whined, feeling like flopping himself on the floor and rolling around. Instead he just flopped down on his back with his arms flailed out. He would have Hermione in a private lesson shortly. He could just ask her -- She seemed to understand everything like that even though she was smart after all. Xavier had obviously turned back into his baby self though instead of his commanding self -- He was no longer in charge after all. "I just can't understand. Please explain better." He sat up, looking like he was almost expecting a lesson lecture from Mica.

"Theodore." He said as he abandoned his broom on the ground since no one had actually told the students what to do with them and began walking in -- He was pretty sure he would need something for a sunburn later but he didn't worry about it. The people that weren't wearing their black school robes seemed to have suffered less and it made him wished he'd bothered to change.

Adeliena wasn't really surprised about the arranged marriages. Her family was pure in not only blood, but race as well. Her family had been doing arranged marriages since the Vikings had first landed in the states, and more strictly when the Europeans has landed. Her leniency could be traced back further than most written history in the states traced back. Adeliena was the first that was excluded from this -- There was simply no more pureblooded, pure Native American families to choose from even though their tribe had been reserved to not mixing their blood. Adeliena supposed she was the only of an elitest family that insisted on an arranged marriage even if the Native American came from a different tribe than her south Eastern one, and even now her parents were searching for some one up to her standards because it was their responsibility."Adeliena." She said as she also abandoned her broom and began walking in too. Luckily she didn't get sunburns. Her skin was glowing more with the extra sun, like most tanned people might look.

Mica frowned, her attention dragging away from the sudden crowd to Xavier. ”Why would you throw Elise into the lake?” Mica was genuiunely curious- she couldn’t think of a reason that would make Elise deserve such treatment. In Yun’s case, she hadn’t been listening to the twins. Mica didn’t entertain the idea that the two knew each other prior to the event. She hesitated, a bit weirded out that Xavier was looking at her so expectantly. How was Mica to know why Yun was acting as she did? She’d barely known the girl a day and was expected to explain the reasoning behind her actions? ”Iunno.”

Hermione went to what she deemed to be the designated meeting spot. Was fear really something that influenced the broom…? Then why hadn’t it acted earlier, before the onslaught of anxiety? Hermione shifted, broom in her hand, waiting. Hermione supposed that there was some fear present before the thought that she wouldn’t belong if she hadn’t the skill… Of course, she’d flown in an airplane whenever she went on vacation with her family, but she recalled being nervous on multiple occasions. However, they wouldn’t be flying nearly as high… but there was also the fact that she wouldn’t be encased in anything—she’d only the broom to support her.

Elise was somewhat annoyed by the knowledge that Draco wanted to date her because he’d be married in a few years. Why her? There were obviously other girls who were interested and could help him with his yearning to date. ”He’s got quite a bit of time, I would think,” Elise brought up suddenly. ”There shouldn’t be a need to rush, and if he really is so inclined, there’s plenty of others to choose from. He’s not going to get anywhere chasing after someone who isn’t interested.”

Xavier had to think about the question a moment and then shrugged. "It was somewhat as a joke? I suppose. She was curious of the dept of the edge of the lake. I thought it'd be funny to push her in. It is how joking works right?" He asked as he looked at her. He was completely different from who he'd just been. The boy could understand the relations of the brain parts and used them to help train the young children on the brooms but he could not understand the most simple of social interactions and it showed by the purely curious look on his face. He hadn't forgotten Hermione -- It wasn't quite time to meet her so he didn't feel bad to keep her waiting.

Yun had treated to her room in a huff, finally taking the time to dry off, her hair sticking out in many directions and had a bit of dirt in it, though she ignored it as she yanked her brush through the hair, that though looking silky smooth had began fluffing out and looking more like a bowl cut as it curled under, instead of the nice straight short hair she had had since the day before. She was annoyed and upset and ended up grabbing a few things, throwing her wand carelessly on the bed -- She hated the thing after all. She left the room, slamming the door behind, and hunting down the twins, but careful not to be seen.

Adeliena caught a glimpse of the small smirk that'd appeared on Theodore's lips preceding the comment "Maybe he thinks you're marriage material." He paused for a moment "No really though. He's just annoying. The kid sees something he wants and cries till he gets it." He shrugged. "You seem to know him well." "And not an enjoyable moment since I've met him." Theodore shrugged at the comment. "Never been much one for drama."

Mica stared at Xavier, still confused. It is how joking works, right? ”Nope,” Mica sent a slap against the back of Xavier’s head. ”That’s for Elise. I’m sure she wanted to, but won’t on her own. Even if that was a joke, she wouldn’t like it.” Mica rolled her eyes and crossing her arms. There was a brief flash of panic across her face and she quickly stepped away from Xavier. He wasn’t going to give her another round of detention for hitting him, was he? It was an automatic response, as she was still annoyed with Draco. Quickly deciding to move on, she looked after the crowd that seemed to be dissipating. ”Iwonderwhathappenedoverthere?” She said quickly, standing on her tip-toes. She could barely make out Harry’s figure being escorted away by Professor McGonagall. She frowned—what could Harry have done to have a professor take him away? She didn’t think him to type to randomly take a swing as she had. [[blahblah enter confused Harry being assigned seeker blahblahblah. Gogogo twins doing their own thing too. Probably wandering the halls or something. Iunno ; w;’’]]

Elise made a small face of discontent and slight disgust. ”Well, I could’ve figured that out,” Elise muttered at Theodore’s statement that Draco would complain until he got what he wanted. She let out a small breath (kind of like a laugh but not a full laugh? Idk how to explain) when Theodore had admitted he hadn’t enjoyed Draco’s presence either. Maybe she could get along with the boy—the other two were still rather quiet. Elise heavily preferred that to someone loud, and figured she could befriend them as well.

Xavier just let out a whine, holding the back of his head. She seemed to retreat fast though and in the time it took him to get over the slap and look around she'd vanished into a crowd. He shrugged. He could just ask Hermione about it -- After all she was trapped with him. He walked over to the meeting place, braking into speech before even telling her the lesson was starting. "You know. I was thinking. In order to pass the class you just have to hover around a little. Height isn't required. You can just rest your foot on the ground and lift it when you feel comfortable. You just need to do enough to pass and my job is done and you never have to fly again if you don't want to. Don't do it because you want to. Force it to because you don't want to fail." He said with a shrug. He'd given her a single goal -- Not to fail a class and then he'd given her comfort -- The ability to stay close to the ground enough to catch herself if she felt the need, and he'd given her incentive -- Her not having to fly again after she passed. He motioned for her to start, sitting off to the side so he wouldn't distract her. "What's the difference between being mean and playing a joke?" He asked suddenly.

"You would have. But it's better that you know if he mentions his father you should just run." Theodore shrugged as he walked, reaching over, hand on Anna's bad before grasping her robes and pulled her out of the way of some one she'd almost walked into and released her again. It was a usual thing. The girl was just always distracted -- He supposed cause there wasn't enough time in the day to think of all the stuff she wanted to think about. She always had two people to look out for her though so it didn't matter.

Yun just watched the twins sink into the floor and it harden again around their chest area, their arms half in the floor where they'd have grabbed and pulled up. Yun just walked out after she'd trapped them, uncapping some markers and proceeding to draw on their faces before covering their hair in little plastic bows and dumping a variety of glitter on their heads before walking away, not answering or responding to a single thing that slipped out of their mouth. She simply had lost her patience with them -- She was more than willing to just end it here though. She just returned to the common room in her usual place in the corner of the room in the large chair. There was always food appearing and disappearing like it might in the great hall when there weren't classes so even between meals she was able to grab some sweets before she sat down.

No one probably would have found the twins even with their yelling had the sight of the kicking legs not caused commotion and laughing -- It took the teachers more than a few minutes to get to them though -- In fact, the only one to be able to help them was Snape and he took his sweet time walking to them... Just to tell them the potion would take three hours to make before walking away and leaving them as a source of amusement for the other students.

”Wait, why are we being paired up again…?” Mica lifted her head from its resting position on her arms. ”Well,” Hermione started, ”According to the professors, they feel as if there is too much conflict between the students and believe it would be beneficial to have students learn to-at the bare minimum- tolerate each other.” As she finished speaking, Hermione shut the book she had been pouring over, and set aside the scroll of parchment upon which she had been writing an essay. ”You all should get started on your essays—you can’t just do it at the last minute.” Hermione sent a look towards Mica and Ron. Harry, on the other hand, was struggling to at least start researching. Mica looked over to Ron before shrugging. ”… Pairing conflicting students sounds like it would… well, be a blood bath.” Harry looked up from the book in exasperation. His head was starting to pound from his inability to absorb the text, and instead focused on the new topic at hand.

"No kidding. We all know it's 'cause Fred and George have been causing more trouble this year and fighting with too many people. All the pranks that have been tying up the teachers and causing destruction to the grounds." It would have been the smartest thing he'd said -- If he hadn't heard some one else say it earlier and just repeated to to sound intelligent in the conversations that had been going on proceeding the speech. "Why do we have to do the Essay now? It's Friday. Classes are over. Well. They were over. They essay won't be due till Mondayyy." As much as he whined he'd been putting the assignment off since Monday and had take some of the brighter students all week--And they were just finishing now ontop of it. Leave it to Ron not to even notice.

Yun had been sitting silently with her 'friends'. She figured she'd stay around the two girls she shared her room with. The room that she'd turned into a reflection of innocent girliness, much as some would describe 'princess'. She tried to spend time around the group, not particularly because she enjoyed them but because they seemed like the easiest to wiggle into the circle of. At the mention of doing homework though she frowned a bit and looked down more so her bangs covered her face and shrunk down so she'd be unnoticed and even pulled the manga she was reading close to her face so that she wasn't taking up any room on the table. Hermione would be the death of her fun school life if she'd let the girl who didn't seem to understand that not everyone needed to study to understand stuff.

”Who exactly are they fighting with, anyway?” Harry asked Ron, who seemed to know quite a deal more than Harry of the subject. From the corner of his eye, Harry could have sworn that Hermione sent a sharp look at the distracted Yun. When he looked up to get a better look, Hermione was busily looking through her essay whose ink was now dried. ”Dunno, but they’re kicking Fred and George’s arses. Remember when they were stuck in the ground? Snape took forever to get them out. Don’t think they would’ve done it to ‘emselves.” Mica giggled, glad that the conversation had strayed from the topic of completing their essays. ”… It still doesn’t sound like a good idea. Wouldn’t it be better for them to separate the students rather than put them together?” ”They’re also pairing students who are academically opposite of each other.” Hermione said in a matter-of-fact tone. Some students could be doing better with their classes, and they’re hoping to improve that as well.” Another pointed look toward Mica and Ron. ”When did they even say all of this?!” Mica blurted out, obviously having missed any dialogue regarding to pairing the students of the school.

”I wonder if they’re going to be grouping every student, or just the troublesome ones?” Elise pondered aloud, having nothing better to do rather than study. As far as she knew, she and those who she’d made her company were decent, if not exemplar students. They hadn’t any conflict with the others, and they were academically successful. ”You don’t seem to get along with Malfoy-“ Blaise smirked in Elise’s direction. The girl’s face immediately fell at the thought of being forced to spend time with the egotistic, pompous boy. ”Stop that: Malfoy doesn’t get along with many people. Well, he doesn't seem to get along with anyone who isn't praising him,” Annaliese said quickly and quite unexpectedly, sending a small smile towards Elise. ”Maybe they’ll place you with someone who doesn’t do their work.” Annaliese offered as a better alternative. Elise, however, didn’t want to spend her time with anyone she was forced to.”What do you think, Adaliena?”

Ron's ears turned a bit red as he cleared his throat. "I actually just happened to hear some one talking about it. He slumped a bit in his seat as he continued to speak. "I've no idea who it is" Yun had only glanced at Hermione -- She wasn't even sure that Fred and George were completely aware that she was the only one at all pranking them but Hermione seemed suspicious right away despite the fact that she didn't even talk. She only caught the sharp look and looked down right away, trying not to draw any more attention to herself. Ron however was oblivious to the look to Yun, though his ears reddened when Hermione looked at him. "We're not that bad Hermione. We do our work. We just don't devote our entire days to doing school work. What kind of life is that?" He hadn't meant to put Hermione down and didn't even think about it now as he relaxed back into his seat.

Adeliena hadn't been paying much attention at all and turned her blank look up from the essay she'd been writing. It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to not staring at lines of text and she had a slight headache though she didn't let it show. "I think.." She took a bit longer to continue talking than she normally would. "That if they think their efforts are working that they will change your partner. On the other side, if you put up a false smile for Malfoy, they'll feel no need to pair you with him in the first place." Adeliena didn't really seem that worried. She hadn't had to shoot a glare very often anymore and more than every now and again she was staring down at a book -- Something that she did even more when she was hidden away at night and her roommates were sleeping.

”If you’d spend more time on your work, perhaps you’d get better marks-“ Hermione retorted in response to Ron’s whining. As far as she knew, both Ron and Mica we passing on by the bare minimum whereas Harry was doing slightly better. Yun, on the other hand, hadn’t turned in anything though with the advanced level of magic she was using on the twins, Hermione suspected that Yun knew more than she let on. She did wish, however, that Yun would have spent more time on her work so that others would be aware as well. Hermione felt somewhat hurt by Ron’s perspective of her. Of course, she hadn’t been expecting either of them to spend nearly as much time as she on their work—she was new to the wizarding world and wanted to learn everything she possibly could. Mica and Ron knew of their abilities long before her, so of course they knew more and needn’t put forth as much effort. Hermione positively enjoyed learning about the magical world and it showed in the amount of time she’d spent pouring over multiple books.

”Well, the professors wouldn’t pick on us so much if we studied a bit more,” Harry, walking the fine line between the groups. He’d felt somewhat bad for Hermione—no one else seemed to put up with her, and she seemed happiest when spending time with them, although it was obvious she was annoyed by some of their choices, such as the amount of time they’d spent on the work. ”But Harry, it’s just so boring,” Mica whined. She was doing fine in her opinion, and didn’t want to work more than necessary, when she could be doing things she enjoyed better such as sleeping.

”Then he’d be under the impression that I liked him,” Elise scoffed at the idea of smiling at the boy. Of course, that would probably be the ideal choice over being stuck at his side. ”For someone who claims not to like him, you do talk about him a lot,” Blaise pointed out. Elise narrowed her eyes and decided not to respond lest Blaise continued to bother her about Draco. ”We’ll just have to see what happens tomorrow,” Annaliese said in a somewhat dreamy tone, returning to her usual habit of staring off into space.

[I think it amusing to have Blaise tease. Not like jokingly but more like iunno. Sarcastic maybe? Anyway, it gives me something to do with him xD and need to build up his personality/character more anyway. I think he has more respect for Ada atm because she doesn’t complain as much, maybe?]

"Right that is. There's so much to do here. There's plenty of time to study later." Of course, Ron literally meant later, as in after lights out. It'd never actually occurred to him yet that if he did his homework while Hermione was awake that he would get help and get it done faster but he just hadn't learned that yet.

Yun thought about speaking -- She really wanted to, but at the thought of it, she went a bit red in the face and stared down even harder. She figured that she should do some type of homework but in the idea she became more and more lazy, even coming to the point that she ended up flopping to the side in the chair she was sitting in and rolling on her back with her legs over the arm and took out her wand so it wouldn't look suspicious as a blanket formed around her, seeming to come right out of the chair and melting into a new fabric, wrapping around her form so she could still conveniently hold her manga which was now resting on her knees and out of her (comfortable) reach which didn't bother her since she just flipped the pages with her wand. In her refusal to move anymore she proceeded to levitate her cup to her face and transfigured a straw out of the top rim of the glass and drank lazily.

"If we were to go by that, you must simply adore him." Adeliena mutter in a less than amused voice. "After all, you are the one to bring him up most often. She finally closed her book and tossed her quill aside. She didn't want to seem like she was struggling to much. She'd much rather seem like she was getting incredibly bored. She left the parchment alone so that the ink would dry and looked up at Blaise for the first time in a while though abandoned the intense look to stretch her legs under the table. She'd began to get tired again which made it hard to keep up her glares like normal. She had to stay up though to study and do her work and wake up just as early -- After all she was a lady and intended to act like one.

Theodore on the other other hand had remained silent though this all. He didn't really care to get involved in the 'teen drama' that was happening in the group of too mature children around him. He knew how sarcastic Blaise was, and by now knew how snarky Adeliena could get in return. She didn't seem to have the same spirit tonight as usual but he didn't dare get in the middle of it and opted to work on his project with Anna. He hadn't really put it off but hadn't done much work on it either and was more than happy to receive some extra help.

"So. You talk about me a lot, do you? That can't be a bad thing." Draco said as he squeezed in-between Adeliena and Elise, prompting Adeliena to smack him as he was sitting. "Don't wrinkle my robes. Even yours are cheap compared to mine. She said with a sharper look than she'd had all night as she smoothed her robes against her legs and scooted down as Draco had predicted she would. The comment on the cheapness of his robes cut deep though as he felt the 'fine' fabric, feeling like he'd been ripped off by the sales person. He got over it -- For now -- though and turned to Elise. "You must think about me a lot.We should spend some time together."

Shy Lover

Hermione was caught off guard by Yun suddenly making a blanket appear from nowhere, and furthermore by her lack of saying words to make everything work for her. Hermione figured that this would be some sort of motivation for Mica and Ron, and as a last effort motioned to Yun. ”If you worked hard enough, you could eventually have everything do work for you.” Hermione shrugged before deciding to go get ready for bed. ”I’m off to bed- goodnight.”

Elise stared at Blaise with a look of annoyance. Blaise, however, looked at her with a mild hint of amusement on his normally stoic face. He hadn’t been expecting for Draco to overhear their conversation, and was quite amused by the predicament they were currently in. We should spend some time together.” ”No,” Elise replied, somewhat calmer than her normal reaction, deciding to take Adeliena’s advice to heart—she did not want to be paired with Draco, and if that consisted of letting him stay around longer than was usually permissible, she’d give it a go. This time Elise would ignore Draco. She distanced herself from the blond before giving her essay another look-through. Elise wish she could have easily removed herself as Anna and Theodore.
