Seriously guy, keep the profanity and porn out of the restaurants. You are a new class of pervert if handling your umm...."meat"..in a place that has kids running around gets you turned on.

Sorry didn't know what else to say.

Porn, at a food place? eek

That reminds me of my friend who had this friend who watched porn while eating some fried chicken. I never knew people could snack while watching porn, but eating McDonald's while having live porn is kinda...

Well, hmm, doesn't say that he was having a burger while having some porn with that lady. I guess it's not so weird huh

Based upon the evidence, it's more likely he was having a skype chat, and was witnessed talking by a very disturbed woman with dirty thoughts on the brain.

I would love to believe that this mother was a paranoid harpy. Then I wouldn't have to believe that a guy was watching porn in a public place where kids are encouraged to be.

Considering she claims to have heard the woman in the porno yell at her from across the dining room, even though the guy was listening to his computer through earphones? I think that's a safe bet.

I'm hoping she was a paranoid harpy because I'm trying to give men a little more credit these days...

We'll allow public breastfeeding but not this? Hypocrisy. Don't watch porn at McDonald's, if you can afford a laptop then you can afford a car. Sit in your car and do it. You'll still get a good signal. And be mindful of people too, I wouldn't watch or play a M/R rated game/movie with kids around, I'd turn the screen, pop in some ear buds and sit in a corner if anything.

I can afford a laptop but there is no way I can afford a car especially with insurance and gas. I have to bike or bus to where I want to go. And if half the s**t I hear booming from cars is any indication, people aren't mindfull of others (I've heard people say that they've seen pornos in the moniters in some people's cars.)
Who would be so stupid?

Funny thing about that? when I do a google search for "earbuds," no hearing aids come up.

When I do a google search for "hearing aid," no earbuds show up.

When I do a google search for "earbud hearing aids," the results are a combination of the little silicone tips that some hearing aids use to make them more comfortable, but mostly I find systems of headphones and earbuds that plug into devices but can be used alongside a hearing aid.

So, yeah, hearing aids and earbuds are not the same thing, so when the employee commented he was wearing earbuds, there is no reason to believe he meant "the man wore a hearing aid as his computer's speakers broadcast audio for the whole restaurant to hear." The only reason to assume that this was the case would be if you were in fact confusing "earbuds" with "hearing aid."

Google does not have all of the information that is out there.

Granted, but if the usage of "earbud" in relation to hearing aids is such an uncommon thing, then why would you assume that a random McDonald's employee would mean "obscure reference to hearing aids" over "common reference to standard earphones?"

There are Hearing Aids that are a box that you can hook up Ear Buds to.

There are... I can't remember their names but some trendy Bluetooth things that look like some Hearing Aids and some... I can't think of the word,.. people on stage use stuff that looks like these things. Oh crud,.. Ears Clips or something.

All we know about this section is the Employee claimed the man has hearing problems and the Employee says the man is wearing earbuds.

Just too many styles of everything any more XD There are Hearing Aides that are similar to this. But this is for Music. Then there are Hearing Aides that take a range of Earbuds that were originally intended for your phone or music.

Right, but when the employee states he was wearing earbuds, why would he say "earbuds" if he meant "hearing aid?"

Further, why is it that the employee couldn't hear any wrongdoing coming from the man's speakers, and only told him to keep his own voice down, rather than additionally telling him to turn the speakers down?

Face it, the evidence rather points to the mother being a kook more than it does to this man broadcasting porn to all the patrons in a Micky D's.

The reason why people are jumping to the conclusion he was wearing Hearing Aid was because of the coupling of the Employee saying both the man had hearing problems and the man was wearing earbuds.

I don't know why people aren't jumping to the conclusion that the man was giving attitude to the employee at first as that is what people mean more often when they comment on hearing problems. But since those two things were mentioned at the same time, it is making people jump to the conclusion they were hearing aids. There is a posiblity they weren't hearing aids and they weren't earbuds but they were behind the head headphones or they were blue tooth,.. or... clips... or... there are too many posiblities any more.

We will never know all the details. We will never know the truth. This sucks but this is the truth. Kid could have been reading the text on the screen. A TV could have been on. An employee could have been talking on a phone. We don't know and there are so many other posiblities I can think of. If there is enough accuracy then I think the person on the other end needed lectured and things explained,.. that they were talking to someone in a McDonald's with small children around. If all that was their reaction then they may not have known where the person was, they may have thought the mother was family, or they may have been young. Which is really what I expect if this is highly accurate. The "man" may have been a student. The "man" may have been in high school. The "man" may be living with someone they don't want hearing the "woman" in the video chat. The woman in video chat may have been yelling at someone she thought the man lives with.

You're confusing "earbud" with "hearing aid," aren't you?

No... no I am NOT! There ARE earbuds that ARE hearing aides. Did I not already explain that?

You mean "given what the woman on the other end of the camera supposedly said, as reported by someone who somehow heard it from at least a table away, over the man's earbuds?" See, that's the part you're willfully ignoring, here: If the man was listening to the computer through earbuds, then the adjoining tables would be unable to hear the person he was conversing with, because earbuds are like tiny little speakers that plug directly from the computer into your ears so that you may listen to your computer without forcing those around you to also listen to your computer.

So, to recap: man wearing earbuds is talking to woman. Other woman claims to hear first woman say something "sultrily," even though that would suggest it being said in a low tone of voice, and it was broadcast over earbuds, directly to the man's ears. I'm pretty sure that from the evidence at hand, it's pretty clear that she is making up the quote she claims to have heard, if for no other reason than it doesn't make sense that she could hear a conversation over earbuds that the McDonald's employee who went over specifically to talk to the guy couldn't hear.

Okay, I must have missed something.

What made you think the earbuds were plugged into the computer? Dude, if a person is deaf, you DON'T necessarily plug them into a computer, much less anything else. And reading the article again, apparently the kid heard what the woman said and the woman responded and asked if she should talk louder. So I think you are missing something.

The way they phrase it ( "Ear buds," versus "hearing aids" ) makes me think they specifically meant those little things you use to listen to an MP3 player ( or if you're a bit older "CD player," or if you're as old as me, "walkman" ) when you're out and about and don't want to annoy everyone by playing your music over the speakers ( or in the discman or walkman case, because the device has no integral speaker ).

My guess? when the McDonald's guy came over and found him camera chatting with a woman, being casually profane but nothing objectionable? That's what was really going on, and the complaining mother was just wanting something to be offended about, so when she heard someone curse, and saw he was chatting with a woman, her brain went straight into the gutter and came up with a story of pornography and sleaze.

Given what the woman on the other side of the camera said, not much imagination is needed.

You mean "given what the woman on the other end of the camera supposedly said, as reported by someone who somehow heard it from at least a table away, over the man's earbuds?" I wouldn't be surprised if some sound was leaking out with a Video Chat. Then if the man has some hearing problems he may have had it cranked up. There are way too many types of Headphones and Ear Buds these days. Most of them I can hear some leaking from. Even Ear Buds. There are even "Ear Buds" that have hard plastic connecting them together,.. so they are like headphones but called Ear Buds.

Keep in mind he may have been talking to the woman on his computer/laptop/NoTellingWhatAnyMore.

Then add to all that she had a curious son that I think the article said was climbing the back of the seat to check the guy out.

But what gets me is she can't tell the difference between Pre-Recorded Pornography and a Live Video Chat.

Yes,.. I am serious when I say,.. I have heard audio from Ear Buds. They just don't make things like they used to or something. Most Headphones leak a bunch of audio these days crying It may not help my hearing is off the chart in one ear and at the top in the other.

Nosey Kid + Audio Conversation -- How much of this is Imagination and how much of it is real? It's going to always be a mystery for us. But I can tell you the woman can't tell the difference between pre-recorded porn and a video chat. That is important for that McDonald's. She's asking for something impossible if she thinks they can guess in advance when a Video Chat Service is going to be abused.

Really, from the look of things, I'm guessing she heard some noise, looked over and saw a woman on dude's screen, and put two-and-two together in a way that only the truly depraved can and came out to "feminine sounding voice bleeding unintelligibly from headphones + image of a woman + man's computer = Dude must be watching pornography," and instantly became offended at where her dirty mind took her, but felt that someone should be blamed for her dirty thoughts, and it sure as hell shouldn't be her, so it best be the guy who caused her to have dirty thoughts in the first place.

Didn't it also say that she was with her >>> EX <<< and their son?

Aye, and it also says that the lady heard the woman on the porn respond to her from the man's earbuds after moving to the other side of the restaurant. Amazing hearing she has, to be able to hear an exact quote from a porn movie responding to her from across the room while it was being broadcast through earphones.

Or, she's just crazy.
