Dude, it's a 'family' restaurant. Nobody wants to go there with or without their kids and be distracted by that crap in the first place. It is inappropriate anyway. Private "conversations" like that do not belong in such public places. Especially where there are kids, whether you believe that or not.

Besides, it is bad enough that some men drool all over themselves when it comes to breasts (trust me, I DO know this). Do you really want your kid to see that too? Way to ruin an appetite.

I'd argue that it's not a family restaurant, and that the mother was doing far more to screw up her own child by exposing him to their "food" than that guy was by exposing him to dirty words and potentially boobies.

I think the person should have been wearing headphones, but I think that the person was watching porn is inconclusive. The person didn't really know what the other person was watching. So the accusations of porn fall kind of flat unless the person actually looked over to the other person's laptop.

That's the funny thing about all this, though . . . The woman says that her son heard the woman on the other end, though the story says the man was wearing earbuds. When the manager came over, all they could determine was that he was video chatting with a woman, not that he was viewing pornography. If anything, this looks like a case where a woman, bound and determined to be offended, constructed a scenario in her head to be offended at based off of nothing more than phantasms and the knowledge that the internet is for porn.
