Oh Keltoi...

I may not stalk people (I would get very bored very quickly with that), but I do--against my conscious self--store information about people. How they act, what they believe in, the kinds of things they say, their forum mannerisms, etc.

It's annoying really. Think about it... instead of collecting data about people, I could really use the space to download more music into my brain instead.

Hispanics and Asians are considered to be PoC, too. And I'm not sure what you mean by they can be mistaken for white? I'm Asian (Viet) myself and my skin is far from looking "white." In fact, there's sort of a yellowish undertone to it. Besides, it's very easy to tell the difference between someone who's white and someone who's Asian.

I like details and there are some people that fit the in between. But it's all just labels we put on ourselves.


Personally I'm Cuban with a half black background on my mothers side. I still ended up with REALLY light skin and most other hispanics mistake me to be a white caucasian person because probably cause my English is more overused than my Spanish. Where I'm from over here in Hialeah there is more Spanish than English. I've had plenty of coworkers say to me "you're Cuban ? I thought you were white!"
Then there was once this redneck customer that I had, I kid you not had a American flag bandana over his bald head. Heard me talk Spanish to a next door table and when I went to him even I spoke English to him he said he wanted someone who spoke good English. I still had to serve him cause I was the only candidate cause the other girls spoke broken English one being from Colombia and the other one from the Philippines. neutral

I mean seriously, they could've slipped that into the lesson plan without a problem. If they're going to try and educate us on slavery, they might as well cover all grounds. We did have a girl ask if whites were enslaved and the teacher just maneuvered around that question as if it wasn't important.
