I have killed two of them and that was a while back.
I usually pop the head out of habit then empty the clip. I have never seen a critical hit though.
Your usually nailing the shield with a primary Im assuming?
Fusion rifles and explosives dont deal critical damage.
I break the shields with a void based gun then swap to my Hand Cannon.
I just went and asked my brother and he said that they don't have a weak spot.

For the Vex, their battles are all about overwhelming numbers and massive armies.[1][2] Little else is known about their battle tactics, but players should remember that the Vex weak spot is not the head (like with most enemies and for players) but rather the center of their torso, where their glowing power core is vulnerable.[2] Decapitating them can actually make them more dangerous, as they enter a beserk state and fire wildly.
That is vex in general though. Minotaurs have armor over their powercore. I just check the wiki of destiny and it is also saying that there is no weak spot...

The cabal centurions spawn during the final wave during the vex vs cabal fightwar thing that occurs during patrols in a certain area.
I watched my brother give it a try with some of his friends and they couldn't get the shield to drop!
They might have fixed or maybe it is possible now with the level cap increased
