Error in user setting changes

Sorry our patch this morning had messed up some of your user settings. A fix at 2:30PM PST will have this issue fixed. But for those who had made changes to your settings today, you will need to visit your settings page and re-save your changes.

Avatar background items not saving

There was a bug in the avatar system where the background items were not being saved. A fix is being released now to address this issue. Sorry about that! The fix will be here at 3:45PM, PST.

Re-login maybe required

We're migrating some database to a new server tonight, and some of you might be logged out during the process.  Just log back in and everything should be fine!  If you're still logged in, there's no action necessary.

Work towards migrating our database to a new system is underway, and when it's all done we should be rid of the occasional login or 502 errors on Gaia.

Config changes needed once more

We introduced a new setting for disabling animated items, but unfortunately we messed up and a couple of your old setting might have changed or reset.  We had a fix at 2pm yesterday but that upload failed.  We've just pushed the fix again and it should finally work this time.

Please visit your settings page and verify the following options to make sure they're set the way you want.

Small Project Clarification Update!

Hi y'all!

We've had incoming questions about a few topics, so we wanted to add a few clarifications to some rules.

The first point goes into effect immediately to any unaccepted orders. Any accepted orders will fall under the old way of doing things.

If you are granted an item and it is missing tags please email in!

Project Recolor

gaia_angelleft I'm recoloring a user's item and their item had collaborators! Will all of these names remain?
Our default will be that only the original submitter's username will remain.

We will allow the recolor to keep all tags if requested by the submitter of the recolor ticket. This is an opt-in situation: if not mentioned to us the tags will not be included, and will not be added after release. Please mention this before accepting mocks.

Please keep in mind that we do have a tag character limit. The more original tags that are included the less amount of new ones we can fit in.

Project Custom and Recolor

gaia_angelleft Are there items from Project Custom that can be recolored without permission?
Tickets where the item is "inspired by" the submitter do not require permission to recolor.

These tickets include the variety of Tailored Star tickets, Tailored Umami, and Obsidian ticket. If the item was a full set that did not include mocks to the user it will be open to recoloring without permission!

Perfect Parcel

We will be removing the restriction against "Items that have not met their Limited Quantity six month resting phase". The Perfect Parcel will no longer have a wait period!

Winter event game delay

Sorry, our team had been busy but the new event game requires a bit more polish and bug fixes.  We will have the game ready very soon, will update you all tomorrow on its status.

Winter event game status

We are currently testing the finished game and SCAS beta testers will be testing the game shortly.  Please allow us to spend another day to bug fix and the event game should be available tomorrow if all goes well.  Thank you for your patience.

Winter event game status update

We're close to the finish line but still require some more testing and bug fixing, but we should have a new test build to share later today.  The multiplayer code was more complicated than anticipated.  Apologies for the delay!

Help needed for event game testing

Sorry for the delay on the release of the winter event game.  We've went through a couple rounds of testing and we're close to release.  Because this is a online multiplayer game, we experienced a bit more bugs than expected.

Apologies for the delay.  Real time multiplayer action games definitely took a lot more effort to debug than we'd like.  We'll likely stick with less ambitious games moving forward.  sweatdrop

Inventory & Marketplace Search Woes

Hey all,

We are aware that the search function in these features has stopped working for everyone. We have forwarded initial bug report topics and any new information to our developers, and this issue is actively being investigated as a priority. We appreciate the information that has been passed along to assist our developers with identifying and resolving this issue, and apologize for the impact this may be having on your experience.

Some information to keep in mind about bug reporting:

• When a bug/glitch is experienced on Gaia, we ask that you report it through our Bug Report & Technical Support forum. Please check the front page of the forum for a thread that reports the issue you're having and contribute to it if needed before creating one of your own; it's more helpful for our staff who are gathering information about an active bug, and for our developers who are reviewing reports and updating those affected, to work from a single thread. Staff and volunteers regularly check this forum to help troubleshoot issues that affect individual Gaians, to flag up bugs to our developers, and to keep an eye out for urgent problems like this.
  
  
• The more specific you're able to be about your issue, the better. Examples, links, steps to reproduce, screenshots, etc., can all be helpful toward explaining and identifying your issue. • The Ask the Staff/Pre-AtS threads are not the designated places to report bugs, and should not be used as a replacement for our BR&TS forum.
