If I remember right, neither mentioned Mephiste directly. They could be close enough in the methods that it might be Mephiste. Hoarfrost works less well, unless the princess was a victim of his like Mathilde and the heroes didn't matter to the doppelganger. Aria involved a writer going crazy from a cursed script and the demonic puppeteer there was unseen and barely mentioned. However, there's less creepy demon in love with victim there, instead being creepy demon watching people go insane and die.

Seems I'm late on the uptake, but I've loved these items ever since the
first Sainte Ciel came out. The continuation and remakes are just the bee's
knees! yum_puddi The one thing I regret is not getting more Rose Sagas. I'd
love to have combined Celeste's Bespeckled Gaze with a couple of those
beautiful outfits!
