At first i thought people were freaking out of it being 100 Gaia Gold . Then i noticed it was 100 Gaia CASH. Yeah, no ******** thank you , i could be saving my gaia cash for something better than making my thread stand out . Which by the way doesn't really do anything.

What if it was 15 or maybe 5 GC would you do it or say ***** no and still try to save up to to what ever dream boat item you want?

Still no. I find it to be pointless, if people need a flashy banner to come in and read my threads then they could go somewhere else. The forums are were i can freely express an opinion on certain topics. Spending money to get people to come into my thread just seems wrong to me.

But if someone else wants to do that then more power to them. I just find it to be ridiculous.

It could be worst like having live fireworks that over 40 years old and dangerous deadly chemical smell to try to allure you to the post but ah well What can you do.

I wanted to see how much it was/if there was a cost ladder (better promotion for more cost?) so I tried to promote an old topic I made (I wasn't going to actually do it, just to see the cost). But there was no option? Is this only available for new treads?

I think this is going to be similar to the GC debate.

On one hand, people are going to say that those who use it are spending money on nothing and say it's not worth it.

On the other hand, there are people who think that spending money on short-lived happiness is worth it. I mean, I've done that several times myself.

It's not worth it, but some people know that and do it anyway.

Gaia Online is definitely going to profit from this. I doubt that profits would increase significantly, but a little is better than nothing. Not to mention, people are willing to pay for attention. This system is only one of many things that can prove the existence of desire for attention in many people.
