To be honest, that would be really cool actually. This would insure that the current stockpile of tickets gets used so a new fresh stock can be dumped back in. Anything not used by a certain date is void. Maybe it's redeemable for a flat amount of gold if not used? (nothing too high but modest)

That would be a good question to ask. They could set the expiration to like February 2015 or something for current tickets. This gives people plenty of time to inquire, have the ticket removed and wait.

That is an amazing idea to have an expiration date on the tickets.
