Second job Bowmen wasn't that bad Yannie. I thought it was a bit of a breeze. Not so much during the hell levels, but not as bad as you say.

Double Shot, Bow Mastery, Power Knock-Back (if you're into that kind of thing. I find it useless because it never works most of the time for me), and Final Attack. What more can you ask for?

Fixed. Final Shot for bowmen hinders then it helps. it slows you down and will put you more at risk of getting KO'd. Avoid FA, and you have enough points to max out the rest of the second job skills.

Awesome. I've got this mob arro- Oh wait. That doesn't work very well, because I'm swinging more at mobs than shooting.
Oh well, at least i've got this awesome knockbac-

Thats what PKB is for. If they get too close, knock em the hell back and bomb. really, its not that hard to play as bowman.

PKB is pretty much useless.. and you can still shoot arrows at mobs even if they are right on top of you..
