Towns Hack - Impersonating Staff/Colored Names and More

Today I was sitting in Towns talking to some people and suddenly someone took over my chat and started making me say gibberish. I left and came back, and instead they did the same thing for someone else, but made her say "********!" over and over again.

Vortexes happen on a regular basis (although with increased frequency in the past few days) and at one point I was even randomly redirected to a page that looked like Gaia and asked for your password, but obviously wasn't the real deal.

Are the higher-ups looking into this? Is there someone actively trying to tackle this problem or is it just going ignored? It really feels like we're on our own with it, and these people are just free to ruin our experience in Towns.

Everyone take Moira's advice and also please make sure to strengthen your password . Who knows, those guys with no lives ruining Towns in this community website could take passwords. Just to be on the safe side.

But anyways today around 11:00pm -11:06 they transported many people from the frozen ice rink area to rally. As I entered again more things started happening. Like walk loop warp, where people are warped to the area the person spawns to when they enter.

I have a suggestion for the admins and I hope they take it into consideration even though these "hacker/script abusers" are probably reading this. Well my idea is this: Since we can't track down users by username, maybe you guys can find them from their IP address, if you can find their ip address you can probably take them down from there. However there are chances that they might change their ips with those Alien ware which i know you are aware of. Anyone else agree on this? I know there are flaws to this idea, but it's a start.

I am afraid that my name will be cloned, and there's no solution to this yet, other than the real person not being able to enter towns.
We want our script abuse free Towns back!

For a small detail? was it even necessary to even pm me about it?
If you have anything to be concerned about it should be those who are involved abusing scripts and ruining the towns and the enjoyment of others for the fun of their own.

Scriptors aren't all about ruining it for everyone else. Most just want to spice things up.
Many members enjoy having the scriptors in towns.

The most recent things I've been encountering is that MTV keeps getting lag ripples and so does rally. Like I mentioned before, they come and go. Sometimes there is a gap in between these lags, and most times when lagged out everything becomes unresponsive. I do believe scripters are responsible for these. This is getting way out of control. People just want to enjoy Gaia.
