You just made my day.
Decided to log back in here after a couples years and browse the music forum again, this post made that worth it.

All of these bands, HIGHLY recommended.

Edit: Haven't heard of Holly Herndon, but I'm loving it. Do you follow Fostercare?

Yep, Fostercare is one of my favorites(particularly 2011-present, wasnt too big into the older stuff)
along with White Car(pretty much a Cabaret Voltaire tribute band, heh) and a few others. The new Fostercare sounds like a more cracked out version of "aggrotech", but Im perfectly fine with that. Fostercare kind of reminds me of Skinny Puppy https://vimeo.com/31235199
(I also liked the weird 90s cyberpunk techno vibe of Altered Creature)

One of the batshit crazy industrial shows I ever saw was a few months ago when I saw Youth Code with Sewn Leather. Packed venue of mostly punks, indie/tumblr kids, art students and freaks moshing. I was just in LA recently where a lot of these sort of bands are coming from lately.

Quick question, are you on VP?

That Youth Code show sounds like it'd be amazing. Unfff I bet they're awesome live.

Fostercare just reminds me of some crazy 90s jams mixed with modern indie electronics. I associate them with bands like Gatekeeper and other neo-80s-90s music. I can definitely hear the Skinny Puppy vibe from it.

Interesting Regular

Dubstep is incredibly dark at times ..... And tons better than aggrotech , ebm or whatever poser crap there is

Fashionable Fatcat

I guess I can mention an online radio I like that plays the aforementioned genres (and metal at times). It's in German and may require something like winamp or windows media player to stream

Totally! Not to take away from the "EBM" people talk about(often the Combichrist, Faderhead, VNV Nation, Suicide Commando stuff) but in the last few years there's just been so many acts from far outside the goth scene making what one might call EBM or industrial dance. It just doesnt get played at cybergoth clubs as they don't wear goggles or have that club beat a lot of times.
Plus a lot of it is directly inspired by original industrial dance which the 00ntz EBM is not.
