Announcement Redirects Halted

Hey guys,

There's been a lot of hubbub over redirecting directly from the announcement bubble directly to a sponsored profile. We heard your feedback, and as a result we are going to stop this practice until further notice. There may still be a couple of campaigns that have already been planned with this in place - and these will still continue to use them, but beyond those it will go back to the old method of going from the announcement thread with the option to click-through to the profile.

Trailer Glitch

Hello everyone,

Some of you have been reporting that when you watch a sponsorship trailer, instead of the theater loading like normal, the window is all white and has an advertisement in the middle. We just wanted to let you know, we know of this issue are looking into it. For the time being if you encounter this problem please close the theater window, clear your browser cache and try again.

We will update you about this issue when we have more.

SKITTLES® Items Soulbound? - FIXED

Some users are concerned that the Skittles items are soulbound. I just wanted to let you all know that they are not supposed to be soulbound. It was a mistake on our part, they will be un-soulbound shortly.

EDIT:

All of the Skittles items should no longer be soulbound.

SKITTLES® World Problems? - FIXED

Many users have been telling us that they can not enter the new Skittles world. Users are reporting that they they click the Skittles bar and the rainbow points to a lamp post that says to return 4/13. This is an old version of the world, the new one doesn't have the lamp post that tells you this. I am looking into the matter and will update when I have something.

Fixed - We made some changes to the Skittles world, namely removing the Skittles meter, this change/version update seems to have been enough to get the correct version of the game to get saved on peoples computer. A flash dev tells me if you are still experiencing problems getting in you may need to restart your computer so your browser grabs the latest version.

Take 180 Quiz Problem

This morning some of you were reporting that the Take 180 quiz was not working correctly. After some investigation ...and video watching... turned out one of the answers I was given for the quiz was incorrect (our sales team apologizes). The quiz answer has been changed to reflect what happens in the video.

Resolved... Finally!

After lots of code digging I was able to find the cause of this problem and fix it. This problem was affecting approximately 1 out of every 12 users xd . However it should no longer be a problem biggrin , as usual should you encounter problems please make a post in the Bug Reports & Technical Support forum.

Prize reporting glitch with Sour Patch Kids

Hey guys,

There seems to be a glitch where numerous people have been reporting winning the 100k jackpot in the Sour Patch Kids prize wheel. No one has actually won this 100k jackpot, at least, not really.. We're still investigating why it's telling people they've won the jackpot, but for now it can be considered a glitch. The actual prizes users are winning don't seem to match the prizes that are being generated on the backend and granted.



UPDATE 7/13/2009 9:06 AM PST: It looks like we've found the source of the problem. The flash client was reporting the wrong winnings because the reward list had fewer than 8 prizes in it (the prize wheel on the frontend is designed specifically for 8 prizes). Because there were actually only 7 prizes in the prize wheel, landing on the last prize would cause it to report that you'd won the jackpot, when in fact you hadn't. We've updated the reward list, and will continue to monitor the results.


UPDATE 7/15/2009 11:07 AM PST: We changed the reward table to only include a single gold reward and removed the jackpot until we find time to do some of the engineering necessary to make it possible to have in there. Sorry again to all of you who thought that you had won 100,00 gold! sweatdrop

Skittles Fish Announcement Pulled
We have temporarily removed the Skittles watch a trailer and get fish announcement. We will try to get that back up as soon as we can. For the time being if you want your free fish, you can get them from the Skittles profile page here

Go Gaia Announcement Pulled
Ooops, we did it again... The Go Gaia Announcement has been pulled do to site errors that cropped up after the announcement was made. We are working to resolve the errors and get the announcement back out.

Hey everyone, we apologize for the announcement going up and down. We assure you this isn't a hack. You guys are so awesome Sayswap can't keep up! As a result we've had slow down traffic by taking the announcement down.
