I don't understand how it's possible to defeat the bosses...

Health potions and stamina potions.

It won't let me attack past three moves. When I use a stamina potion, it uses up the potion, and goes from 0/3 to 3/3 moves. Then when I try to attack it comes up with a window saying 'It's not time to attack the boss'. Is that supposed to happen, or is it a glitch? Because now it seems that I've wasted potions for nothing...

You wait for the next time you fight the boss, you just have to survive and his HP will carry over to the next battle.Then you finish him.
