For a long time, I had forgotten how much fun I used to have on Gaia. I took a long time off, for school/work/life reasons, and I hadn't really thought too much about coming back. But one of my friends happened to get back into Gaia, zOMG! in particular. But she didn't really have anyone to play with - we went on hiatus at the same time, more or less, and most of her friends were gone, too. So she asked me if I'd be willing to play again.

Village Greens was hard. I had only played the game once before, and that was only as far as getting to the Greens from the trainyard. But, after a server cycle, I found a new friend, and he managed to help me out a lot, getting me from Bill's Ranch, through Zen Gardens, and to the beginning of Bass'ken Lake's questline.

And it was there that I found them. It wasn't a guild or a clan yet, but it was a group of friends who ran together most days, always at the Saw Mill. To this day, I couldn't say why I got an invite to the group - I was probably just lucky to get my crew request up faster than anyone else. But they were weird...and I liked it. They suffered no fools or leeches, and didn't really care that I wasn't a 10.0 so long as I did my share. And that one day turned into another turned into meebo requests that I come play with them to oh look, we have a guild now!

And I wouldn't trade it for anything. I may not have known them for very long, but they made this Valentine's time a special one, because I had so many amazing people to share it with.
