Well it's not as hard as it used to be actually
As I've gotten older, I've gained a lot of acceptance of who I am, and that I can't just wave a magic wand and change it, and that I actually don't mind being me ^_^
But had it been a few years ago, it would've been very hard for me to tell

Well that's good. At least you've gotten past it enough that you're happy with yourself and you can tell others about it.

Getting past my teenage years really helped a lot, you know wink
In that regard, I was quite a normal teenager, thinking everyone hated me, nobody understood, and mom just wanted to place me in the first insane asylum possible (Neither of which is true of course)

My teenage years was more about surviving. I literally couldn't trust the people around me because I was in a children's home. A long sordid story. Point is, I do see what you mean. When you get older, things make more sense. I'm great friends with my mom and I don't think I ever seen it coming.
