Hm, maybe. I'm no expert on colors but if that's you're deviantart gallery I see nothing wrong with it. Sometimes playing with "warm" colors and "cool" colors within the drawing can help provide that extra depth you may be seeking.

How the fk do you pick your colours and how do you contrast them so well? gonk
This is like my biggest weakness. Whenever I look at others' art, the colours they use just make everything pop and here all I wanna do is use black n white if I can because it's easy. :'( Hoooow? How do you know what colours to use and how they'll make whatever you are drawing pop out and blend like that. ugh

There exists pretty good books on color theory and color harmony.

Try looking up "Color Harmony" and "Color Theory" on google. You'll get some good tutorials.

I recommend looking at color theory if haven't yet. It definitely helped me be more mindful of the color I choose.

When I do coloring, I first block in all the base/flat colors, then manually pick darker shades of those colors to do the shading, and lighter ones for highlights. o3o

lot of the times i cant decide which colors to use for which drawings but i always try and go with something nice lol. its not easy i cant shade for s**t so dont worry

i don't but i kno some from watching / looking at other artists work
like orange and purple goes well when u multiply the purple layer ontop of the orange
and purple is good to shade musty brown with too

using the color circle
but opposites attract and thats the same for colors, thats call complementary colors
use a traingle shape, it called triatic it adds more depth

using the color square
never go directly virtical or across, go diagonal
