When I watched Sherlock I was blown away by his acting. There is no doubt that the man can play a sarcastic, intelligent, and emotionally unavailable detective well! (and I mean this with no cruel intent, he's great!)
I, personally, am not very charmed by his physical features though. I can see why people find him attractive and I don't judge them for it at all, he's just not my cup of tea lol
Plus my old friend Nick looks sooooo much like him and he was a total skeeze -____- (not Benedict's fault, I know, just now when I look at Benedict all I can see is my loser friend :/)
I haven't really done all that much research about him, so my opinions are pretty limited. What I can say is that he is a bit problematic in that he seems to be ableist and classist just based on some of his interviews. But in this day in age, most popular figures are problematic in at least one way. I feel as though if Benedict stepped outside of his privilege and saw how offensive he comes off sometimes, then he would be able to fix the aforementioned problems.
It all boils down to a sense of awareness, I guess, but that still doesn't detract from his acting abilities lol
