Ah well, hopefully the C++ shouldn't be too different between compilers anyways. I have a friend who has broadband who might be able too set up a CVS server, would be a better choice IMO.

I am going too set up a website as soon as possible but I need to register a domain what I will now do ASAP sweatdrop .

lol ah okies ^^. I am not totally sure yet what is required but then I guess I should. Some Art would be nice hee smile . If you wanna help with programming I am sure you can.

Just as a note I have brought the Domain www.project-aphrodite.org for a year. It doesn't point too a page as yet so it will fail too load anything. I guess for the moment I could get it too point at banjer's temp site with his permission.

I've got a website up now, It will take about 24 hours for it too be ready for use and I got too upload a few pages too an ftp server before tho. Once that is done should be ok. Just got too sort out some kind of CVS server before that tho.

For the lobbys and chat areas, I think with dates tho it should be a more face too face thing hee. With Kitersu's idea that the characters face then changes when you use smilies as well would be quite nice ^^.

*Nodnod* That would be good... Well made Dating Sims and IGN's do that already — would we be able to make it like... no, but then it would have problems with the mmo aspect... Argh, brain not making coherent strings of words right now...

How would dates work? Succeed? Fail? I'll draw up a little diagram and brainstorm a bit more when I'm actually coherent.

Bleh, C++ is klunkly and nasty but I'll learn it in a jiffy if I must.

it is in c++ / opengl. 70degree angle sounds good,

im thinking that people can have bubble boxes for general discussion in the world.

for private talk in an open world; probably a separate window would pop up and the person could agree to talk decline, or ban other from asking.

you could have a money making system like gaia (small amount for lurking, chatting, and mabye people could attend jobs.) people would have to get some money to go on a date. or, buy a hotel. the language also could be surpervised/ edited in real world, but in a hotel no clothes and cuss-words and such would be allowed. and there would be a time limit to time to cyber and such.

just a thought.

Since you want to allow Yaoi and Yuri, do you want to change what the characters say, or just their gender references?

Also, do you want minigames (Like swimming, maybe) and conflict (Jealous suitor?) or just "Buy the date flowers, he/she is happy"?

A game that mimics that is something called... um... Leisure Suit Lary, Love for Sale. It was an online game and had stuff like that.
EDIT: By stuff like that, it had an isometric view and you could change your characters clothing and get them to smile and so forth. I don't know the details because I've never played it.

I don't know if a Gaian gold system would be so great. You'd at least need something like the not-as-yet-implimented Casino to keep things interesting.
