McAfee.
What I like about IE is that it automatically halts (for the most part) anything that attempts to download on my computer.
Whereas the Firefox didn't even do that.
But someone told me there was an option for that...

I believe I have it set to do that......
I have mcAfee too, wierd, it should stop unwanted downloads and stuff...

Mine doesn't sweatdrop
It was all IE that stopped the unwanted downloads.
Then sometimes my screen blacks out a little and a box pops up asking if I want such and such to make changes to my computer; but that's it.

Oh that black out things is a program wanting administrator access. Unless you opened a program yourself that would need it deny it. And run another scan.

Firefox may not work out, it wants to freeze when I look at my aquarium page.

I decided to keep IE, at least until I get a job.
I kinda need this laptop for school and I don't want to run the risk of something happening to it and not being able to pay to get it fixed....

I agree Disco. It's a little slower than firefox, and a bit more slower than chrome, but it may be the security settings I've stuck on it. I haven't had a laptop lost due to a virus, but I've had a motherboard give out, and I'm paranoid regardless.

Cause my last laptop wasn't the first computer I was using that got viruses on it.

Wierd? Maybe double check the sites you visit and cut some off? I don't read manga online anymore for one. The readers have a lot of potential for hackers and virus people to embed their stuff into so it infects you.

Fanfiction and manga sites were the main ones.
The one I got on this laptop either came from Gaia or my email website....
