It's a girl, no breed that we know of. She's calico and polydactyl, so she has mitten feet! We're calling her Shelley, after Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein (since she's a patchwork kitty with a funny physical structure).

My last cat was also literary. He was Ollie, after Oliver Twist, since he was adopted from a shelter (basically a cat orphanage, right?) and had the most pathetic "please sir, may I have some more?" meow.
