I keep thinking about reading Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children, but deciding on other books instead. Did you like it?
Also did you like The Tough Guide to Fantasyland? I have read the Howl's Moving Castle triology by Diana Wynne Jones, and I really like her writing.

I keep thinking about reading Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children, but deciding on other books instead. Did you like it?
Also did you like The Tough Guide to Fantasyland? I have read the Howl's Moving Castle triology by Diana Wynne Jones, and I really like her writing.

It was a good read. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series, and I heard from a coworker that they're talking about making a movie. Definitely get a paper copy, not on a Kindle or something, unless you're sure it will display pictures correctly. The photos are essential to the story.

The Tough Guide to Fantasyland is great. It's a really funny riff on typical swords & sorcery fantasy, but it's a very loving and affectionate parody.
