King Valifor Ysuran
King of Assassins
Dismounting his horse he took a deep breath of Roland air. It was good to be off that bloody ship. It wasn't that he hated ships or traveling in general it was the stench of the crew that made him dislike the long voyage. He was greeted by the King and Queen. "Welcome to our kingdom, King Ysuran, I trust you had a pleasant voyage." The king said with a warm welcome. Valifor gave a nod, he wasn't a man who spoke very often only if he really felt words were needed which wasn't very often. He felt that words held little meaning and action was the only truth to anything. The king looked at his wife then tried again. "I do apologize that our sons and Daughter is not here to greet you as well. Our eldest son is preoccupied with wedding arrangements and our daughter should be running around here somewhere. She has taken her duties to show the visiting royals around." He said with a smile and motioned for them to go in. Valifor gave a nod and followed then king and queen in while one of his men went with the stable boy to take care of their horses.
He followed silently behind them, so much so the king would look back every so often to make sure that Valifor was still behind them. He whispered to his wife something, Valifor didn't care enough to listen in or really pay attention. He was busy looking at the different people that rushed about the castle and how the castle was decorated. He herd about the peace treaty between the two warring nations. It was quite interesting that the young royals got along so well for there to be no sign in the kings face or stance to say there was trouble.
The King spoke all the while to him asking him different questions and talking about the treaty and the details. Which didn't get him any answers other then a nod or a huh. The question about the details of their agreement did earn him a sentence no matter how short.
"I will discuses it later." Was all he said. He didn't want to talk about it until both the prince and princess of this land were together and could hear what was offered. He also wanted to make sure that the prince knew he would take good care of his little sister. She was rather young after all, about 10 years younger then himself. A young queen at this day in age was a good thing, especially in his kingdom, she could live longer and grow stronger. Of course he wouldn't let anyone do anything to her.
He was led to his room. "This part of the castle has magical barrier to keep ones abilities suppressed. You will find that you won't be able to access them in any bedroom of this castle." The king stated. Valifor nodded, that was good to know, at least if one were to try anything unless they knew about this barrier he had the upper hand. He was always cautions where ever he went. May would like to kill him and make a title for themselves about taking out the king of a silent and deadly kingdom. So he could never be too careful and if his marriage to the princess went off well he would have to be even more careful and protective of his whereabouts to better protect him. "If everything is to your liking, then we take our leave, we will summon Elizabeth for you. You arrived on a most opportune time." The king said with a smile and clasp of his hands. "You see, M'lord, tonight is a celebration, she shall be your escort for the festivities." The queen had chimed in. He gave a nod. "Should we call upon you when she is here?" The queen asked. He gave another nod. "Have a pleasant rest." They said then left.
He walked over to the door as soon as it closed and pressed his ear against it. He heard them ask about the princess, she went missing with the visiting prince. He clutched his fists, what blasphemy was this? He continued listening but they had already left. He waited a few moment then opened the door. He looked at the servant girl and placed his hand on the wall towering over her.
"Tell me . . . what happened with the princess?" He asked in a dark voice. The woman trembled and her voice shook as she spoke. She didn't know much other then there was smoke, when it cleared it looked to be the prince and princess was there then all of a sudden they vanished in a cloud of smoke. He looked out the small window in thought for a moment then back at the woman. "
Show me her room." He stated. "b-but your highness!" She squeaked.
"Do you want her found or not . . ." He practically growled at her. She jumped out of fear then showed him to her room. He looked around and picked up a book sitting on her night stand and flipped the pages, a soft floral scent came off them. He then knelt as he put the book down and took the scent of the bed she slept in every night. Again it was floral, sweet and had a hint of forest scent in it.
He looked at the servant girl and gave a nod. He quickly walked down the halls and out of the castle. His abilities were able to work well out here. He closed his eyes and inhaled a deep breath of fresh air. He used one of the abilities he picked up form a wolf, they were excellent trackers. He put all scents that weren't close to hers out of his mind then began following a soft faint trail. She had a soft scent of forest on her so she must go there often, he followed the scent deep into the forest, well away from the castle. He could hear a womans voice before seeing her. He climbed up a tree and his in the soft shadows. There was a small clearing and standing in the sun was a beautiful woman with black curly hair, and brilliant blue eyes. She was wearing a rather revealing dress which would make any man blush, she truly was beautiful. He caught the end of what she said and saw the blush on her cheeks. He took a deep breath to calm himself. He had traveled a long distance to find her and went through paper work which he hated along with months of negotiations. He closed his eyes for a moment trying to calm himself down, he told himself he was jumping to conclusions. He opened his eyes once again and watched the two in silence and the cover of the shadows.
