As the mutant female stared down from the wall she clung too, staring at the male below. That's when she felt her dreads on her head shiver and almost raise up. Instead of having hair rising, her bulbs actually looked like they were growing slightly. That was her version of hair rising on the back of her neck. Her red eyes snapped open and her coloring switched to fully red. Instead of the normal hunting it was a color for danger. Even her long ears suddenly shot up on her head, as they turned. She felt the soft breathing directly above her and without much to do, she pulled back the chemicals in her pads. Her body suddenly falling to the floor as she just let gravity take her down. As she landed in a crouch on the ground, her form suddenly darted forward. Quicker than a normal human as she ran towards the Enigma she had been looking and hunting. s**t. She couldn't believe she fell for a trap! While she may be pretty powerful on her own, she wasn't fully powerful to go against elemental type Enigma's.

Though what she did when she sped forward, would be surprising. She didn't move to attack the male, or go pass him. Instead, her body was suddenly curling around the male. Her slender form was suddenly moving to wrap around him, almost like a snakes, as her tail even wrapped around his ankles fully. Making sure if he tried to move, he tripped. But it wasn't as if she was trying to squeeze him to death. That's the last thing she wanted to do. Her instinct's were on survival. And for her, having her body practically clinging to a potential ally to the shadow bender. Of course, she made sure that one of her hands were against the side of the male's face, and released her chemical's on her pads. This caused her hand to stick, so if he tried to pull her away he would probably cause his skin to be pulled off. Though getting her off wouldn't be easy anyway.

Juju was using her strength at that moment. Not to harm or squeeze him. No. She wasn't stupid to get rid of her piece that keeps her alive. Instead, she was using her strength to keep her clinging to him. Making it hard for him to shake her off. The female's eyes were wide, while her color was a bright red shade. Blinking her eyes a few times, she soon called out, her face next to the male she was wrapped around, up at the one who shot the shadows at her.

"Hey! What's the deal! You could have speared me with those!.....and in a way I don't like either....."

Upon hearing his sister disregard his threats with a mere sleepy mumble, Vayne stared down at her with a serious expression. But as quickly as that look had formed, it broke into a more relaxed state of mind as he sighed, running his hand over the electronic device on the wall that controlled the blinds. As the room had started to become dark again, Vayne had become much more lenient with Victoria over the past few days than he liked to admit. But that was because she had been the one to remind him that it was his birthday in March, which he completely had forgotten until she mentioned it, and that just made it hard to remain rigid around her. "All right. Just make sure to get up soon, since we have a busy day." Vayne informed her, walking around the bed and to the doorway that he opened up and closed behind him. Normally, whenever the older brother had said something like that, it meant that they were going to head out and find some small odd jobs in order to get some spare money, which he was saving up for them over time. Making a living in the Midnight Alley wasn't easy as most methods involved either joining a gang, killing someone for it, or preparing to do some things in the alleyway that promised you a visit to the doctor's office in the morning. It was no place to raise Victoria, who was impressionable and clueless about adult matters, but Vayne did his best given the circumstances. But, given that it was his birthday and Victoria likely would want to celebrate somehow, he decided to dip into their funds a bit in order to get them two tickets to the Land of Fantasy, which he knew she'd appreciate, despite the risk it entailed for them. It wasn't an expense Vayne would have ever bothered making ever in his life since he didn't care for those things, but for his sister having some form of childhood, however late, he'd just have to work twice as hard later to make up for it, which he had no problem in doing.

Heading to the kitchen, Vayne had actually taken the plate that belonged to Victoria and moved it over to his end. Since he hadn't even started making his meal yet, the sibling figured that he could just eat her colder meal and prepare her a more warmer one once she got up. It was also the location of the two tickets to the amusement park, which he put there so it'd be one of the first things she'd look at once she came down to eat. With that done, Vayne turned on the TV in the small living room and then went back to the basket to start folding the clothes he recently washed. He enjoyed hearing the news for the most part, since it kept him updated on world events, but then you would have TV Ad's like this:

Do you like what you see outside your window?
Will you ever respect the face in your mirror?
Will your children ever thank you for the sacrifices you are about to make?

Our mission is to hear you say "YES"

Perfecting the world through conquest of technology.
Protecting civilian contingent through strategic combat solutions.
                                                                Enigma's: Evolution Reinvented

Or, if you wanted to be grim about it. There was always the one TV ad that involved a man on a motorcycle, running away from what looked like what seemed to be a giant shadow, with the creepy rhyme:

I spy with my little eye
A thing that goes 'bump' in the night nearby
A sense of duty when the risks run high

                                                                A scum who wishes
                                                                that he didn't try

Vayne noticed that at this part, the man on the motorcycle would aim behind him with his gun and shoot a few times. And then the ad would show the perspective of the biker, with the giant black hand reaching forward until the entire screen went black and the rhyme continued,

                                                                Goodnight and Goodbye

                                                                Enigmas: Protectors in the Night

If Vayne had a favorite one, it'd be the second. At least that one portrayed Enigmas at least in some creepy format, but he knew that impressionable kids would just consider them the coolest things in existence. And to be quite honest, Vayne nearly believed it himself at times when he was part of the E.N.C. He was sure a lot of them did at the time. There was an undeniable sense of pride that one felt when you were put out in front of a crowd and only heard the sound of applause and cheering, even if it was all orchestrated by the corporation for them to appear like the champions of justice. But real heroes are never as polished as the legends that surround them. Never again. Vayne promised himself, folding another shirt before hearing an interesting bit of news.

"... in other news, the Essence Nanotechnology Corporation has made a request that no civilians enter the abandoned area of Hammlin, as they are attempting construction in the area. We can only hope that someday that the city will be rebuild with these efforts. As for.."

Hammlin? The Corporation would have no interest in remaking that area and Vayne knew it. This meant that they were likely going on an Enigma hunt and were making precautions in case the area got too hot to handle. Despite only three S classes of the Original Enigmas being active, Victoria excluded, if one of them got involved in a fight in that area then it would cause a lot of destruction. Well, the only one that could do alot of damage between the S classes would likely be Adrian, whose power is a bit more on the destructive end of the scales. Well, if it was him, then he imagined that there would be news reports of a few explosions coming off from the ruins, which will likely be disguised as construction later. Despite the disregard Vayne had for his fellow Enigmas that were still in the rebellion, this proved actually a bit fortunate. If the company was focused on Hammlin today, then that meant that he could take Victoria to the Amusement park with less concern about being found there. Amidst these thoughts, looking down at his hands had revealed to him why he was having trouble folding the next item he found, as it had been Victoria's bra.

                                                                .......

                                                                ....

                                                                ...

                                                                ..fu-

His hands suddenly pushed the bra as far down into the hamper as he could in hopes that he'd never find it again. His tanned face was red as a tomato, embarrassed beyond belief despite Victoria being the innocent type that wouldn't even know whats shameful about it. It didn't matter to Vayne as there were still some things you did and did not do. When it came to Victoria's clothes, there was some mental preparation that was needed and he definitely wasn't ready.Get started on her meal. Right, he needed to make her breakfast and that would help him forget. Vayne stepped away from the hamper and then went straight to the kitchen, starting to make her meal.

Sunlight. Bright sunlight right into her eyes. "Only if it really did bother me..." Closing her eyes tighter before they fluttered open, the young woman sat up a little. Her bright blue eyes stared at the sliver of light that poured in through the rip in the sheet that covered the window. Sitting up completely from her little makeshift bed, her clothing choice for the night after working had only been her bra and panties with a black long sleeve button up. Stretching her arms above her head as she sat Indian style waking herself up she still had not fully realized what time of the day it was yet. Crawling out of her bed, she rummaged through her pack, which is mostly filled with an assortment of underwear and a few assorted other clothing articles. 'Heh...last night was hilarious...' Chuckling to herself she pulled out some proper clothes to wear outside and quickly put them on. Pulling her pack back onto her back, she ran her fingers through her pink mane as she walked towards the sheet that was covering the window.

"Holy..." Pulling the sheet down, letting all the sunlight spill into the tiny room, which barely could hold a bed comfortably, the bright sun spilled across the whole room. Not even squinting since bright lights in general no longer bugged her eyes, Kitty Rowland played with the elastic hair tie for a moment before she pulled her hair up into a loose bun. A little of her pink locks spilled out and framed her face as she pulled up the hood of the jacket she was now wearing. She had probably slept for over nine hours already and it was time to see what the Alley was up to at the moment. Slipping on a pair of black shoes, Kitty exited the room and left the mysterious building through its back exit. Stepping out onto the not so busy Midnight Alley, she kept her arms at her sides as she walked alone down it. Stares every so often at her, which were returned with a small seductive lip bite or a wink. After a short walk, she found herself at her favorite food stop in the slum of a place she was calling home right now. The past five months she has been saving up money, running from E.N.C. and buying people off that have been trying to sell out locations of her fellow Enigma's.

"Usual." With a curt nod, she stood waiting for the food, which didn't take long. Slipping the man some money, she ate her food standing. Once she was finished, she left the bowl on the counter as the man placed down a bottled water for her. "Its hot out today." Giving him a wink, she leaned forward over the counter giving the older man a peck on the cheek. "Thanks." Picking up the bottle of water, she headed back out and started her mandatory run for the day. Up above the city, Kitty loved looking down upon it whenever she could catch a glance from up in the tube of the slum place she was basically living out of. Keeping a steady pace as she jogged, she kept her head slightly tilted down as she ran. 'Deep breathes...' The feeling of her heart beating and listening to her own steady breaths in and out was helping her tunnel further into her own mind to exercise her legs. She might be in black tights, a skirt and some black running shoes but she has ran in far worse articles of clothing before.

Running for over a hour, Kitty had already patrolled more than half of the Alley. Coming to a stop back near where she tended to "stay" she relaxed up against the wall. More people were out; sipping from her water bottle Kitty kept her eyes on the road as all sorts of people walked around whispering and a few looking confused. Licking her lips as she finished her water, she raised her head a little more as she watched a group of three men who she knew as lovely regulars who came in almost every night walking towards her. Chuckling, she pulled her hood down to expose herself into the nice sunlight of the day. "Bunny~!" Now surrounded by three men, one fat and short, the other skinny and the last one who spoke up being the tallest and more muscular in a body builder sort of way. Smiling softly, she waved to him. "Hey~" Looking up at the human male, she tilted her head to the side a little as stepped closer, entering her more personal space and placing his hands on each side of her head against the wall she was leaning against. "You were amazing up there last night...uhhh..." Watching the big hulk of a man turn red in the face, Kitty let out a loud giggle and gently placed a hand on his cheek since he was already in her personal space. "I...are you working tonight or can...can I take a lovely women like you out for a night?" Smiling a little more she caressed his cheek as her blue eyes stared at his face.

'What do I do...I am working tonight.' Letting out a small breath as she thought about it, she noticed his hand slid down around to her hip. 'Ahhh...you just want to get me naked..' Pulling his face in close to hers, she held his face with her hands firmly. "You know, if you wanted to get me into bed you should've just said that right of the bat and not try to be all romantic." Smirking, she pinched his cheeks. Watching his face turn into pain and anger she let out another giggle. Sliding her hands around to the back of his head, she forcefully shoved his head down into her chest. Which...was not a good idea. She was not smart, the moment she did that he grabbed her hips roughly and picked her up. Enjoying the mixture of sexual things were going on and not going on in her day with it being boring, she was smiling brightly. Being picked up, she wrapped her legs around him as much as she could as he placed her a little roughly back up against the wall. Letting go of his head Kitty kept her arms raised above her head as he came up from air from being smothered. Pouting her lips as she looked at him, she could tell he was breathing heavier now. "Too far~?" Her blue eyes than darted between his two friends who were ready to get on the action. Frowning, she leaned her upper body forward into him. Draping her arms around his neck as she leaned pressed her lips up against his right ear for a moment before pulling back a little to whisper, "It will stop here if they try to join in." Nibbling down on his ear lobe she pulled away from him. His face was red and she could see his grinding his teeth before he turned to the other two, "Get unless you want me to tell ya mother's that you been beating on children."

Giggling, Kitty watched the other two leave upset and through small hissy fits as they walked away. Proud that he made them leave she kissed him on the nose. "You really like me~" Her bright smile was plastered on her face as his hands moved to her butt where they squeezed her butt his tongue came out and licked his lips as she watched him eye her chest. "You know it's not free and not in public~" With a huff, he carried her in his arms between the buildings. Smiling, she held onto him as he forcefully opened a door that was locked and once they were inside he let Kitty down. Fixing her skirt as she watched him hover over her, she pulled her hair down from its bun. "Money afterwards." Twirling a lock of her pinkish hair as she stared up at him. She silently nodded her head. Now if he was any other male a*****e she wouldn't be doing it but she knew he had the money and the guy knew how to play rough the right way most of the time with her. Slipping her jacket off she took a deep breath. Stuff like this always tested her limits about her accidently using her super human abilities she had.

"See you tonight Vin~?" Stepping out of the s**t hole of whatever room her lovely little sugar daddy decided would be a nice play to do it, she waved good bye to him as she shoved a thick stack of money into her jacket pocket a she hurried away from the location. She had other things to do now, which included getting out of Midnight Alley to go shopping with this cash she just earned since it could get her some pretty and expensive clothing. Smiling brightly as she walked alone down the slum city that was raised above the more beautiful cities below, Kitty had to get into Kalvita for just a little. Only a little. Moving closer to a teleporter, she ducked between some buildings nearby where she changed from her workout clothes into a cute purple dress. Taming her pink locks, she puts them into two low pigtails as she stepped back out and walked over to use the teleporter. Since other Enigma's rarely talked with her, she didn't never really told any of them where she was or what she does most of the time and if she comes across one, cool. Most probably rather not talk to someone who's face got plastered over some of the cities because she really have a target on her head for "running away."

"This silence is unbearable!" Quentin thought to himself before looking to Mars who was still looking towards the broken down business building. The android had to be compiling the information by now if he was done scanning, by now Blake had to be doing something to the two Enigma, or so he thought, to get them in order to extract them back to headquarters. In case something did pop off he had his his assault rifle primed and ready for action, "So far it's way too quiet." He thought to himself but before long he felt a slight tremor, "Earthquake? No..this area has had no record of seismic activity, that could only mean one thing. Blake's begun his attack." He glanced to Mars wondering if the android noticed the tremor. He hadn't said anything for the past few minutes meaning he had gone silent to compile the results of scanning the business building and cross-referencing it with the information database back in Paaler. "Note to self: Upgrade Mars' logistical processing for quicker results." That was when he heard a feminine voice, aiming his rifle up at the voice his gaze hardened as he looked up at the creature.

"Well, aren't you...uhh...you...what the hell are you?" he said in a somewhat disconcerting tone. The female's appearance had taken him back a bit but he recovered, he had heard stories about some Enigmas undergoing physical changes after taking the drug though he's never seen such a drastic change in someone's appearance. "Guess it's safe to say you're an Enigma, definitely!" He commented before noticing the shadows behind the mutant woman and knew that Blake was about to attack the woman, even if he didn't get her he would but before Blake could ensnare the woman she slipped away rather quickly. "s**t!" He opened fired on the woman but she was moving very quick then coiled herself around him, her hand was on the side of his face with some kind of sticky substance adhering to his cheek. "So that's how she stuck to the ceiling, getting her to let go won't be easy." He thought to himself as the woman addressed Blake.

He didn't look worried at least for the time being, he was a hostage as long as the woman remained coiled around him like a snake. This woman had no clue just who bad her situation was having two S-ranked Enigmas to deal with. "Quentin, I have completed my compiling of the data. The two Enigmas are---" Mars stopped speaking when he turned to Quentin and saw he was being coiled around by the female Enigma and pointed his heavy assault rifle towards Juju and Quentin. "I see you've met Miss Rebecca Thompson aka Juju, her Enigma ability is called Predatory Physiology. She's basically a predator mutant chimera thanks to the drug, she's also one of the Original Enigma but her rank is only A." Mars said to Quentin through his communicator. Quentin sighed heavily, "Great, this is becoming so much better. I better deal with this chick before Blake does something but I can't kill this woman especially if she's one of the Orignals." He thought to himself before glancing to Juju. Telling her to get off wouldn't get anywhere and he needed to be cautious, one wrong move could end in disaster. "Lady, you don't know just how bad you have it today. If you thought he was bad..." He spoke as his eyes glowed a bright purple, he was quickly increasing the gravity around himself and the mutant woman. Unlike her he would be used to the heavy gravity but he would have to move as long as the woman's sticky hand remained on his face unless he thought of something for that too.

Not long after Adrian clashed with his newly created shadow he watched as Juju pranced off to intercept the other enemy Enigma. He wasn't too concerned about the strength's about the other Enigmas that she was going toward. He already proclaimed the Enigma had control of the shadows was a coward since he used Adrian's own shadow in an attempt to either defeat him or slow him down. And since he didn't know anything about the second Enigma he couldn't get a clear read on him. But at least they were better than their coward of a teammate. The only positive thing that came out of the shadow was that he was literally able to face himself. That wasn't much of a bad offer but that excitement could only last so long. And as their bout continued, that same excitement started to slowly fade.

There were no doubts in anyone's mind that Adrian loved fighting - even weak opponents for a short while. Had it not been for the fact that they weren't able to damage one another due to Adrian being immune to seismic energy, then he would've enjoyed their battle much more and even go as far as completely forgetting about Juju's presence. But since that wasn't the case then their fight could literally have lasted forever or until however long Adrian either stopped trying or tired out. But since he was a super-human Adrian tiring out wouldn't had happened for a long while, especially when their attacks were just canceling each other's out and the initiation wasn't doing jack-s**t to him. So in reality all the shadow was really good for was a punching bag. Adrian loved intense battles that came down-the-wire and obviously he wasn't going to get it with his shadow due to that circumstance. As short-lived as his excitement was it was over and done with. Case and point: neither of them were going to win that fight.

After the real and the fake exchanged a few more blows, Adrian stepped back as he released a sigh. "I take back what I said. That enjoyment only lasted for a few moments." Once again he was bored. Had the shadow had been another one of his fellow S-class Enigmas or hell, even someone that wasn't him, then Adrian would've grown more interested in it. In a way it was a bit ironic how one who loved fighting so much grew bored of fighting himself. Adrian's abilities were definitely to blame. If only he could have injured himself, then things would have been much different. But as he said before as time passed on he only saw his shadow as a punching bag. And it was now a punching bag that he didn't want around. "Tch, what a damn waste." No longer giving his shadow even the tinniest amount of attention any longer he looked back in the direction where Juju headed.

Judging from the sounds of that direction things seemed far more interesting than what Adrian was stuck with. As dense as the male was when it came to things outside of fighting even he could tell what the other Enigmas were planning; a two-teamed attack to potentially overcome Juju. That only angered him that much more and confirmed that the Shadow Manipulator was just a p***y to scared to fight him at least. Its gender didn't matter to Adrian, all he knew that when he got to him or her he'd make sure they'd regret that choice. After getting a good read on their location he focused his seismic energy force at his feet and darted off in quick but short steps. What could his shadow do? Not a damn thing. Well, to harm him anyway. The least was trying to stall Adrian time but he could always get around that one way or another.

The creature had managed to evade his attack. While it was commendable, it wasn't necessarily something that made him incredibly impressed with her either. She had dug herself an even bigger grave when she decided to attach herself to his associate. Really? As if she could make this any easier on the two to collect her. Of course, if need be, Blake could and probably would kill her. After all, if she made the mission drag on too long, she obviously needed to be put down like the wild animal that she was. Blake listened to her question as he looked down at her, his expression not changing from it's sullen form. She was as dense as the male, if not denser. But one thing he could commend her on was her ability to act off of instincts, even if those instincts were revealed to be flawed when she attached herself to Quentin. They didn't need to pull her off if they could kill her. Not to mention, there was a reason Blake's rays were thin. He couldn't possible attack an ally with them unless he wanted to. Which could only mean she had bound herself in place when she decided to attach herself to his companion. A foolish gesture for a foolish creature. But he couldn't blame her, without proper thinking, nobody would have been able to truly unravel what was going on in Blakes' mind and exactly what his plan was.

When Quentins' powers came along into the fray, Blake had already notched this point to them. There was no way that the creature was going to escape. She would have to detach herself from Quentin first of all and then try to fight against the immense gravity to escape Blakes' next attack. Something that she would have problems with due to the nature of the attack. His attack wasn't weighed down by gravity. However she was. Which made things so much easier for Blake and Quentin in retrieving her. It seemed like just like that, the game was over and E.N.C had come out victorious. Blake shot off the rays once more at the female, specifically at the points where Quentin's body couldn't be hit. At the coils around his body, at her head and in between his ankles since is was pretty much impossible for them to be bounded together perfectly.

Meanwhile, the shadow that had been created continued it's fight with it's original. Albeit, the shadow had taken up the defensive position to buy it's creator time, it could only keep up the defensive for so long until Adrian had drawn forth that it was indeed a trap to get Juju to separate from him. Unluckily for him, he was realizing this a little too late and he was already going to be late to rescue the creature. As the male started to dash off, so did the clone and it quickly cut off his escape route and stood in front of him with a rather demeaning smirk upon his face. How interesting would this be. He would goad him on in the fight and continue to waste his time for as long as he saw fit, he would even use his strongest attack against him. After all, both of their limbs could be blown off if they weren't careful.

"Heh. What's the matter? Running off like a little girl already?"

The clone remarked as it drew near to Adrian with the same smirk danced across it's face. Then, dashing towards Adrian, the clones' hands attempted to place on Adrian as it channeled his strongest attack. Body Quake. And when the two were connected, they'd see who's body would be blown to bits first.

Juju's eyes would lower into that hooded look upon hearing the male she clung to, ask what she was in that tone of voice. "I'm a female, obviously. You are not nice, are you." More of a statement than that of a question as she asked it. Though as she clung to him, she rolled her eyes when he stated another obvious remark of what she was. Really? He was stating things that were kind of clear even to a person that may be mute. Though when that strange robot turned towards her, pointing the gun at, she raised a brow while staring at the thing for a long while. Especially as it gave off the 'supposed' original name she had. Juju just thought they were lying. How is it that she could forget her own name? Then again, she doesn't even remember her past, so maybe there was something there on that. Juju would scowl, or try to, at the robot as she stated with her colors fluctuating once more. "I don't even know who this Rebecca Thompson is." That was a clear sign, that upon her changing, that she has no knowledge prior of who she use to be.

Though as she clung to the male, that's when her ears rose up high to look at the other male that was attached to the shadows. Her red eyes slowly narrowed up at him, as she watched him for the longest time. Hmm. Shadow manipulation. Such a b***h if she had to think about it. If she thought in all generalization, she knew that the two of them were probably thinking she wasn't so smart. They may be right. But when it came to survival and fighting, that's another thing coming. That's when she felt the gravity suddenly increase and blinked. Her other hand smacked on the other side of his face, her pads clinging to him. The downside is, the male would be the one feeling it with her pads securely stuck on his flesh as she yelped out. "If you keep that up, I'll be ripping your face off bud?!" It wasn't really much of a warning, just something she had to tell him. It would be surprising to the male though. Her body was actually straining against the gravity.

Juju wouldn't be who she was, with her ability to swim under water with a pressure down there, if she couldn't stand gravity like this. That and her strength was another thing.

Out of the corner of her eyes, as well as feeling her dread's swell slightly, she saw the shadow male once more shoot out those things. Using the gravity to aid her, she quickly pulled her pads back, making them non-sticky as her body fell to the ground. Twisting her body in an attempt to dodge the attacks. On the downside, her tail got slashed from it. Juju didn't make a sound though. Oh it did hurt. But the pain just allowed her to keep going. Her red eyes were wide as her mouth suddenly opened up to reveal those many shark like teeth as she snapped in time of one of them about to aim at her head. She turned her head at the same time biting. She felt two of her shark like teeth popping out in payment of trying to stop from what was happening. Damn. Look's like she'll have to grow new ones. Ugh. That always felt so off to her.

Giving a loud growl, her arms and legs suddenly had the muscle seemed to buff on it. Not much, but it showed she was using all her strength right now as she twisted around. Out of the range of the gravity the guy was using.

"YOU GUYS ARE CHEATING! TWO ON ONE IS NO FAIR! And especially on a lady! YOU GUYS ARE BULLIES!"

Juju shriek out as she continued to twist and dive around. Her body moving like a lizard as she quickly crawled along the way back into one of the buildings. The reason for this, was for her to start climbing. Already the bleeding on her tail had stopped long ago. Her body climbing up high on the wall. When she got high enough, that's when she let loose a sound that was something animal like. It sounded like a high pitch barking noise. But it was one that was overly loud. Loud enough to echo out of the ruins. It seems that she was making that noise for one reason only.

                                            Back up time.

Quentin could care less about the mutant woman's past, if she had a hand in the death of thousands five months ago in Kalvita then she'd be harshly punished by him in more ways than one and would not show any mercy. He endured the pain that came with pads of the woman sticking to his face, "I don't care, as long as we capture you then I'll endure any pain even if it's self-induced!" he stated seriously as Blake attacked the woman but she had released his face and managed to get away but not without losing some of her tail. He rubbed the sides of his face before glaring at the mutant woman angrily, he was slightly impressed that she had slipped out of his gravity field. "I won't make that mistake again...." He thought to himself, he had felt her strain herself to maintain her grip on him but he kicked himself for not using enough gravity to pin her down long enough for Blake to land a successful blow on her. "I see there's no need for me to speak through my owner's communicator then." Mars stated before bringing up Juju's, those enhanced senses were beginning to interest the android. "I can see why they want her back alive aside from the obvious reasons, still we should hurry and deal with her. I've detected that her friend is moving towards our position." The android suggested as it aimed its rifle up at Juju.

"Hmph, thank you Obvious Prime! I didn't need you to tell me that!" Quentin angrily shouted before glaring up at Juju with a vengeful glare, "I've finally found two of the Enigmas responsible for the revolt, no way in hell will I allow them to escape now!" With that Quentin began to expand the increased gravity field to encompass the entire first floor of the building, he could encompass the entire building if he wanted but he needed to pace himself seeing as the other Enigmas was coming for them now. "I don't care what kind of woman, creature, or mutant you are! I crush every bone, fluid sac, or whatever you use to support your body until you can no longer move! As long as you're still breathing that's all that matters!" The gravity continued to increase as as a bright purple aura appeared around Quentin, that's right the Original Enigmas destroyed the Kalvita main office five months ago but that wasn't the reason why he was so angry. He lost his mother when an explosion happened while they and some others tried to escape and got caught in the blast, he was the only one to have survived though he was in critical condition.

Mars was hit with the heavy gravity, the android bared with it since there was almost no way to tell Quentin to stop now that he has found the ones responsible for the revolt. Quentin had reinforced Mars' inner framework to withstand a high degree of increased gravity and modulators to help stabilize its self so it could move albeit very slowly, either way Quentin was focused on capturing this woman. "I think she's calling for help, that barking is loud enough for anyone with heightened senses to pick up on." Quentin sighed heavily, "Again thank you Obvious Prime!" He said before drawing his assault pistol and aimed it in Juju's direction, without so much as a word he fired a couple of gravitic shots at the mutant woman. The shots themselves would be unaffected by the heavy gravity as they had their own gravity field but they would feel like cannon balls fired from a huge cannon if she were hit by them.

Titania hated Mondays. But, since it was the start of the week, all her favorite vendors had fresh supplies. This fact was more than enough to get the pinkette out of bed in the morning. Now she was skipping down the steps of E.N.C. headquarters, ripe apple in hand. She donned a pair of skin-tight leather pants, black boots, a matching halter top, and a cloak that clasped around her throat.. Yes, the shirt did leave a bit of cleavage exposed, but the Enigma didn’t give a damn. Oh, and let’s not forget the crisscrossing belts that hung on her hips—to which her two pistols were securely fastened. She strode along the streets of Paaler Quarters at a brisk pace. She would be deviating from her assignment this afternoon, but only for a little. The higher-ups would understand. Hopefully. She took a large bite out of her apple and her teeth sinking into the hard skin gave a delightfully loud crunch. Some of its juice spilled over her lips and down to her chin. She swiftly wiped her face with the back of a gloved hand and continued on. When she was finished with her fruit, she addressed a simple man who was walking in her direction. “Hold this for me, would ya?” Without hesitating, she shoved the moist apple core into his hand and ran off laughing. He yelled profanities and chucked the thing at her, but she easily dodged it. Messing with people was so much fun! After a few moments she arrived at her destination: a teleporter. She stepped inside, input some coordinates, and waited patiently to be transferred.

                                                        x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Ah, Midnight Alley—home to the latent criminal. It was a dirty place filled with dirty people who did dirty jobs. But, for some reason or another, she felt at home. I guess one could say it reminded her of her youth. As she weaved in and out of the thickening crowd of people, it was hard to pretend that she didn’t notice the stares. If they weren’t eying her hair, they were looking at her eyepatch. Did it bother her? Yes. Did she let it show? Hell no. Titania may have been a self-conscious woman, but she did not lack self-confidence. Just because she didn’t like certain aspects of herself didn’t mean it was ok for people to make fun of her or stare at her like some kind of freak show. She was always careful when it came to hiding her insecurities. She always wore her eyepatch and she always had gloves on. Always. The vast majority of people—even her fellow Enigmas—didn’t know she was so sensitive about her body. And she intended for it to stay that way. So when she walked, she walked with pride. Chin slightly tilted up, never looking down. If anyone did manage to meet her eye, she never looked away. She stared the person down until they looked away like the spineless coward they were.

Really, she couldn’t afford to act any other way in the Midnight Alley. That place was crime central. If you didn’t look the part, it was easy to get mugged up there in the ‘floating city’. Thus, Titania always had her guard up. Literally. As she walked, she emitted a weak force field around her. It wasn’t strong enough to repel people if they got too close, but if someone were to reach into her personal space they’d receive a slight shock. A warning to them and an alert for her.

                                                        Speaking of…

                                                        “Ouch!”

Titania stopped. Her hands reflexively reached behind her back and grabbed hold of her pistols. She exhaled quickly and spun on her heels, ready to bust a cap in someone’s a**. But who she saw looking up at her made her heart melt. Her hands returned to her side and she dropped into a crouch. “Hey, sweetheart!” A small boy with shaggy hair immediately ran into her arms. She hugged him tight, burying her face into his smelly, tangled hair. When she pulled back she held him at arm’s length. Upon noting the pout on his lips, she smiled and asked, “What’s the matter, hon?”

“You shocked me,” he responded with mock frustration.

Ugh, he was so freaking cute. “I’m sorry, Pete. But you should know better than to sneak up on a girl like me.” She winked her good eye. This elicited a high-pitched laugh from the boy which tugged at her heart strings. “So, what can I do for ya today?” The child reached into his pack and pulled out a piece of machinery. It was a strangely shaped thing that he couldn’t seem to get a firm grip on.

“This! It’s my new toy! I want you to fix it, please, Miss Ti.”

She took the metal object from him and closely examined it. Let’s see… there’s a spring, a weight, a strong power source, four cylinders, some insulated wires, and a…barrel? It took her mere seconds to process the information. Her piercing magenta eyes flitted upwards and locked onto the boy. “Where did you get this?” she questioned, voice stern.

                                                        “U-Uh…in a box. I found it.”

Titania heaved a sigh and shook her head. What the innocent child had “found” was a gun. “What did I tell you about snooping around? You’ll find dangerous stuff like this.” She waved the weapon around for emphasis.

                                                        “What is it?”

“Dangerous. And that’s all you need to know.” She focused some energy into the palm of her hand and shot the device chock-full of electricity. The thick smell of burning rubber soon filled the air. She had successfully fried all the circuits and overcharged the battery. Now all that the thing would be useful for was scrap metal. She tossed it to the left and watched it skid to the side of the road and out of the way. The woman then stood and patted the boy on the crown of his head. “Don’t look in any more of those boxes, okay?”

He nodded slowly, obviously disheartened that she had just destroyed his little toy.

“Did you eat yet, Pete?” When he shook his head, she reached into her pocket and retrieved some gold coins. “Here, take this and feed that monster tummy of yours, alright sweetheart?” His features instantly lit up and he took the money. He ran forward and hugged her knees with as much force as he could muster. “Thanks, Miss Ti! Bye!” Then he ran off, oversized clothes flapping in the air. A sad smile curled the corner of her lips. He was only eight years-old and he’d been homeless for two years. A meal was something, but it wasn’t enough. It would never be enough. She could feel the muscles in her chest constricting. Keep it together, Ti. She continued walking for a few more blocks until she came up to her favorite street-side merchant. Upon seeing her, the old man grinned.

“Well, if it isn’t Miss Pirate.”

From anyone else, that name would have cut her deep. But the old man was a long time friend of hers. Titania laughed and reached over to punch his arm. “How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that? Anyway, I’d love to stay and chat, but I’m kinda pressed for time. Just show me what new gloves you’ve got today.” She was just going to check out the new merch. That was it. She was probably so, so late, but a little pre-mission shopping couldn’t possibly hurt.

Just when Adrian was going to proceed toward where the real action was coming from, he was stopped by the same shadow he was trying to leave. Well wasn't that just great? Since he was the enemy and all, Adrian didn't expect for him to just get away so easily despite how much he wanted to. The shadow was nothing more than an eyesore now. Obviously forcing himself through him in order to get to Juju wasn't going to work, so the only choice really had was to find a way around him. His anger rose even more once his shadow taunted him for fleeing like a "little girl".

"Says the one who can't take their hands off my d**k!" Adrian countered with a smirk on his own. At first he hadn't known that his clone had any emotions. But after that smart-assed comment it remarked that obviously wasn't the case. But Adrian wasn't sure if that just made him hate him more or not despite it being technically himself in a sense. His smirk faded once he watched his shadow proceeded toward him. However that wasn't the thing that caught Adrian's eyes. Instead it was the stance that the imitation took, a stance that he knew all too well: Body Quake. It was the strongest move in his arsenal with similarities toward an actual earthquake. Though luckily its terrifying results wouldn't affect himself but that didn't mean that he could just let it pass by.

If he tried to counter the shadow with his own Body Quake then he faced the extreme danger of having his limbs blown off if he used enough force. The "force" worked just as an Earthquake's magnitude; so using his full force wouldn't have ended well at all. If he even tried to use Body Quake against his opponent it would literally be just like suicide. I'll be damned if I bled to death to his thing! How embarrassing that would have been - him losing to his own shadow. As if he'd let that happen! As Adrian dodged and turned the shadow's attempt to grab a hold of him, he heard a screech in Juju's direction. His eyes narrowed as he looked toward that area in the corner of his eyes before turning his attention back to his opponent.

It was clear he was running out of time. Adrian indicted Juju's screech as a possible sign that she was in danger of the two Enigmas that she was fighting. And whoever they were Adrian wanted in on it. But before he could even do that he needed to find a way to get rid of his shadow. Just hitting it wasn't going to do the trick so he actually had to process the thought, which was something Adrian rarely did. As he continued dodging it he noticed a balcony from a partly-ruined building. He acted quickly as he blasted the balcony in order to cause it to fall apart directly where his shadow would be. Hopefully that would at least slow him down long enough to reach Juju. But he didn't bother to check as he propelled himself toward his target once more.

When the darkness returned, a sleepy smile formed on Victoria's face. She was grateful that he'd actually listened to her protests, as even if she wanted to it was doubtful she could open her eyes for longer than a few seconds. She nodded faintly and mumbled in agreement, though thinking of having another one of his busy days made her not want to get up at all. A distaste for doing what they did had developed through doing both mundane tasks and things that were entirely too difficult for her. So far she had discovered that she'd much rather just slip her hands into the pockets of passerby's and try her luck that way. She had become quite the talented pickpocket, but Vayne insisted on finding them these jobs, so she went along with it. Besides, it would do her some good to go outside for a bit anyway, even if it were somewhere like Midnight Alley.

For now, she allowed herself to drift back into sleep, though she remained teetering on the brink of consciousness as the sound of the television filled the silence that had so peacefully settled in the room. She listened faintly, but wasn't given the chance to pay much attention as her mind kept drifting off into a half sleep. She realized, of course, she had already slept for too long. At this point she was just clinging onto the idea of sleep more than the actual act, as even if she did fall back asleep, getting up five minutes later would be just as torturous. Seeing no point in prolonging her suffering, Victoria groaned and rolled onto her back, lashes fluttering open to reveal amber irises clouded in a sleepy daze.

In all honesty, there was a part of her that just wanted to lay there forever, so close to sleeping that it was almost as satisfying. But she couldn't and she knew it. Sooner or later, Vayne would make her get up, especially if she wasn't even really sleeping, but taking the time to be lazy. She couldn't believe how tired she still was, perhaps it had something to do with not getting enough rest last night, after all she could vaguely remember horrific dream sequences followed by groggy memories of being awake for at least a few seconds at a time. Still, that would be no excuse. She'd just have to try to sleep better later on that night.

'Okay... Time to get up... Just... Stand.' she told herself, but remained perfectly still as she stared up at the ceiling with half lidded and tired eyes. "Nnng..." rubbing her eyes, Victoria finally built up the will to get up after what seemed like ages of mental preparation. She sat up and looked around the room, attempting to blink away the sleepy blur in her eyes. She did notice that while sleeping, she had built up a considerable amount of heat, especially with the warm blanket that had still retained a bit of it's warmth from the dryer. Not willing to let that go so easily, she wrapped it around her shoulders and held it against her body like a cloak before she made the move to get out of bed. A series of quiet, incoherent grumbles could be heard while she shuffled across the floor, stepping out of the room to squint at the television. When she looked around, she had expected to see Vayne in there, but she was mistaken. She did spot a hamper full of clean clothes, so she decided she should choose her outfit for the day. It was an easy enough task, selecting a pair of shorts to accommodate the sunny weather along with a simple shirt. What was a bit more difficult, was finding her undergarments, more specifically her bra. She frowned as she dug through the clothes, wondering if maybe they hadn't been included with this load of laundry. Finally, once she reached the bottom she found one pulling it out victoriously and dropping it on the couch with the rest of the clothes she had elected to wear.

Her intention had been to put them on immediately, but when she heard a noise in the kitchen, she decided that must have been where Vayne had gone. He did say he would eat her breakfast if she didn't wake up, maybe he was serious. With a small yawn, Victoria wrapped the blanket tighter around her shoulders and scratched the side of her head, making her wild snowy hair even more disheveled as she stood in the doorway of the kitchen. Just as she had thought, there was Vayne, and it seemed he was making more food. "Morning." she mumbled, taking a moment to rub her eye in hopes of waking herself up. Victoria took some more steps into the kitchen, leaning against the counter before looking around lazily, "What're we gunna do today?" she asked, stifling another yawn as best as she could. "Work and stuff, yeah?" she grumbled, not really giving him much time to respond before her eyes settled on the counter, more specifically on what looked like tickets of sorts. "...Whats that?" she asked, one of her arms leaving the warm sanctity of her blanket shield to point in their direction. Her eyes grew wider as she looked closer, wondering if it was what she had thought it could be.

This was getting old and this was getting old quick. It was about time for Blake to stop playing cat and mouse with this creature and get down to business. It was his target and it was proving to be an annoyance in his plan. Although he had accounted for this, he really didn't want to have this running any longer just in case he had any margins of error. After all, the quicker they got this creature, the quicker they could move over and find any other enigmas that happened to be in the area. Not to mention, there was a chance that more than two s - ranked enigma showed up to combat them and then they'd just be out of luck. Luckily for Blake, he had accounted for that and was prepared for the situation happening. There wasn't anything that was going to surprise him here. All he needed to do now for everything to be settled was use his full power on her and get her taken down. His attacks that actually meant something had missed and she was continuing on despite him having shot a hole through her tail. It was funny how desperate some clung to their way of life. A flawed way of life at that. The Original Enigma had done many a bad deed, all under the excuse that they were seen as nothing more than tools. Most viewed them as heroes. But he had to commend them for doing it. After all, he would have never received his power if it wasn't for their revolt.

At her exclamation, Blake could only sigh. Unfair. Life wasn't fair. Neither was fighting. Fighting was all about getting the edge on your opponent and taking full on advantage of that edge that you got. It was amazing how some views were that flawed. When he felt the gravity intense in the area, Blake retreated into the shadows and emerged right next to Quentin. Darkness started to consume his arm once more as darkness started to gather once more in the area and a force would begin to bring the creature in towards Blake and Quentin. It was a move he often used to keep a hold on escaping targets. Well, in this case the creature wasn't necessarily escaping, just needed to be pinned down long enough for them to get the right amount of hits off on her to knock her out. Intensifying his power, the darkness would soon be at full strength as Blake once again started to summon force the dark rays.

                                                        "Finished."

He muttered under his breath as he simply raised his hand to brush through his hair. How was he standing in Quentin's gravitational field. It was easy really. He and Quentin had a fair idea of each others' powers and Blake had grown accustomed to being in the males' gravitational field. Call it an adaptation if you will. The rays shot off towards the creature once more with the intention of piercing her muscles. and Blake looked on with an apathetic look on his face. This would be an interesting development if she somehow managed to elude Blake at full power and Quentin using an intense gravitational force.

"What a big mouth for a vibrator!"

The clone taunted back with the smirk played out across his face. That was bound to keep him fighting long enough for Blake to finish off the creature. As Adrian continued to elude his own shadow, the shadow noted that they were close to some debris. As it drew closer to Adrian, the male jumped away and had sent the debris flying down towards the shadow. Punching the air above him before it could reach the shadow, the debris was blown to bits and small rocks hit into it. Shaking it off, the shadow darted off towards Adrian to keep him in the immediate area. It was then that the shadow punched the ground and soon the ground underneath Adrian would crumble and a gap began to open from beneath him as he dashed.

Love has its place, as does hate.

██████ ███████ ████████ ████████

Peace has its place, as does war.

████████ ████████ ███████ ██████

Mercy has its place, as do cruelty and revenge.

The bright sun overhead, the time of year, a potent mixture for the heavy set man who walked through the slum districts of the Midnight Alley. A potent mixture for memories, of days long past, and days not so long past, good days, bad days, days of peace, and days of war and blood. A rumble interrupted his musings, a hunger brought on by the days of war. Disgusted in himself, he grimaced, angry that his power led to this hunger, that the thought of devouring armies, as he had once done, made him long for a meal. He distracted himself from getting up from the bench he sat on, grabbing a heavy sack of food and trudging off, letting the good weather and what he knew was coming wash away his poor mood. Today, after all, was a good day, a day where he could do his job as the beloved Mr. Kringle, a name given to him by the people who ran the orphanages in this part of town due to his jolly nature, and gifts of food to the impoverished and homeless children. He was well known and much loved by the children in these parts, and he was glad he could be friends with them, at least in this form, where they would be safe interacting with him. He shook his head, he would need to move on soon, change forms before 'they' closed in on this location. He had evaded detection thus far, but...

His thoughts were interrupted when a run down building entered his field of view. This last stop was one of the larger orphanages, and as soon as he entered he was swarmed with children of varying ages, all clamoring to see what he had in the bag. He laughed, dispensing food to all of the kids, many of whom wanted him to play with them, talk to them, see a picture or toy they had just gotten, living their lives happily and in a carefree manner. It gave him such joy to see these things, and once he was able to slip away, he exchanged a few words with the woman in charge. "I'm afraid I have to move on for a time, you probably won't see me for a while... No no, nothing wrong, I just have other obligations I have been remiss in keeping up with. Of course... Yes, I'll be back some day soon... Yes, I have told the others, I will see you again." Naturally he couldn't tell the children about this, it would break their hearts for their friend to go away, so he kept quite, promising them as he left to bring back a great many things, and then slipping away.

A back alley called to him, and it suited his purposed just fine. An alcove, once perhaps the entrance to a home, boarded up and abandoned became an impromptu changing room as he slipped into something far more comfortable. Flesh and bones became fluid, height and girth shrank dramatically, and in mere moments a slight, young looking girl with long white hair stood where the heavy older gentleman once was. Her name was Rachel, and according to what records she had dug up, she was considered by the E.N.C. to be the most dangerous of the original Enigma on the loose, a title she was perversely proud of, but wished she had never been given. She slipped into some loose clothing, and tied her long hair back into a loose ponytail before exiting the alcove, only to be set upon by some ruffian or other with a knife, who didn't spare any time with the pleasantries, just drive the blade deep into her eye with a gloating look on his face... at least until her hand shot up, seized his wrist, and crushed the bones into a powder. "My... that was quite rude you know. Whatever prompted you to do that? I know these are slums, but you could have been a bit more polite about trying to mug me." He gaped like a fish out of water, clearly looking for something to say before losing it when she pulled the knife out of the rapidly healing wound and absorbing it into her palm.

A sad look crossed Rachel's face as she looked once more to the mugger. "Unfortunately, I can't exactly let you go after this can I? I hate killing, I try to go out of my way to avoid it, but in this case taking one life will spare many more. I sincerely hope you can forgive me for what I am about to do." Almost before she was done speaking fleshy tendrils loosely shaped like an arm erupted from her shoulder blades, seizing the man and binding him completely in the mass. For a few moments, muffled screams and weak signs of movement could be noticed, but those ended shortly, and the tendrils snaked back into her body, leaving no trace of damage on her person, nor any trace of the mugger. "I am... truly sorry. You left me no choice." Leaving the alley, she squinted upwards into the sunny sky. It was time to get to work once more.

Slave of the E.N.C.

As the hammer falls, Pray to your gods and Perish.

Ullakarin, often regarded as Patient Zero to those who knew exactly who and what she was, stood at the edge of a rather run down building as her gaze pierced through the visor of her intricately designed gas mask. Her blood red hues observed the streets below like a hawk seeking out the first catch of the day, to which some of that was rather true. She had been hunting various Engima who have decided to leave the company in which they... belonged to. Ullakarin was not in the least sympathetic to their cause. Even if she regarded herself as a slave to the E.N.C. company. She didn't care. She would never care. She had been prowling the general vicinity of the slums to find the less than intelligent runaways who didn't make it far, as amusing to her counter part as it was... she found no joy in it. To hunt the stupid and the foolish was to waste her time on less important things. Ul's own reputation was quite well known as a shadowy slave driver for those who worked with her. Whenever she was on the field, that's all that would matter to her. To get things done with the least amount of casualties. Due to her unique position and status within the E.N.C. they often enjoyed keeping her on rather pointless missions in order to avoid stupid failures as such has happened in the past. Humans were only reliable to a certain point... be they enigma or not. It was under her watchful gaze that she often followed others in the shadows... never moving until it was necessary.

This isn't hunting, Ul. This is people watching. A voice within her own mind had finally rang out just as she expected it to do. This was the voice belonging to her friend of nearly thirteen years. Abbadon. A creature that lived within her who fed off of the energy that her own body produced. The two of them formed a perfect symbiosis that was never truly understood. regardless, he was among one of the few people she could bring herself to trust fully. "Abbadon." She states in a bare whisper, her voice distorted through the external speakers of her respirator. "We have done our hunting last week, do you not remember the three you were able to consume? Is that not enough?" She asks, a light chuckle sounding out. Hmph. I don't care for things like this. Sneaking about bores me, and what more, why must we watch your companions? She couldn't help but display a hidden smile at that statement. "Don't you mean... our companions?" She tilted her head as she awaited his response. Our... companions... Fine. Well why must we watch them? She knew it was a rather usual question that Abbadon often asked and despite the vast knowledge he and Ullakarin commanded... he could never truly understand human emotion nor human wishes and wants. He was alien to them, but not to Ul. She shrugs and offers a verbal not of consolation. "I believe we've had this talk before, my old friend and I am glad you are leaving my breast size out of the list of things you want to talk about today." She shifts her footing as she catches sight of a face she had seen before... though she was certain that they did not know whom she was. Catching sight of the young lady she quietly begins to follow from her elevated position. "The E.N.C. wishes for us to monitor Midnight Alley as it's no rumor that the runaways live among these people... they wish to be certain that their investments don't have... second thoughts." She remarked as she begun descending from the elevated building she had been standing upon. Silently, she launched herself to the other edge of the alleyway, following the young woman she spotted. As she followed, she begun to mutter commands that activated a data stream on her visor listing whom it was that she was following. Titania. I see... your loyalties to this... company are a curious thing, Ul. They always have been... but you give me things to eat and torture, so I care little of that. She cracks a smile, and pauses for a moment as she loses sight of the young woman moments later. "My loyalties rest with myself, and that is our little secret Abbadon." She said as she leaped from the edge of the building to land onto the ground with a light impact. She could feel her body pulse with strain for a moment which was quickly corrected. Abbadon had changed her musculature once again. Hmph. Sooner or later we will have to make our move.

Upon her arrival on the ground floor, she could already smell through the air purification system that there were Enigma nearby. Thanks to Abbadon's own measures to enhance her own senses through genetic manipulation and application there was very little that one could do in order to avoid general detection. The stronger they were... the easier it was for her to find them, though it was always a game of cat and mouse regardless. An amusing thought. Ul's arrival had caught the attention of various individuals that walked through the streets, though from her appearance alone they knew it was best to avoid her. Ul had to... adhere to several things whenever she was outside of her room within the E.N.C.'s headquarters. She had to adorn an enclosed mask that possessed a respirator which filtered the air she breathed in and what she exhaled. The respirator glowed with the ethereal magenta just as her eyes did due to the void energy which flowed through it and back into Ul's body. The mere fact that she had to wear this was because of what she exhaled. A dangerous substance which had been recognized by the scientists who studied her and later consumed by her. Regardless, she wore such a mask while she adorned military like clothing. She wore a tactical vest with a long sleeve black uniform shirt with it's sleeves rolled up to her elbows. She also wore a pair of tactical pants that sported knee pads while she had put on combat boots in order to allow herself a modicum of traction. On the chest of her vest sat an assault rifle, while on her left hip was a pistol... on her right was a curious roll of what appeared to be a black whip. The guns were something she never truly bothered to use, as she did not need such a thing... but she carried them either way if only to allow herself some form of protection that made her bosses feel safer about her walking around. She found such worries to be rather amusing and rather unfounded every time she stepped out of her 'home'.

Ul's gaze shifted back and forth as she studied the faces of those within the vicinity within moments, sharing the information with Abbadon's own consciousness in order to catalog everything that took place around them. To watch Ul at work was often mystifying knowing what it was that she could do within mere seconds and the mere fact that she knew her own capabilities only stretched that dormant fear further. She knew that she could very well slaughter everyone within mere meters of her person in the blink of an eye... turning their existences into mere information. A frightening and amusing thought. She allowed herself a distorted chuckle as she begun heading in the direction she had seen Titania head off in as the woman seemed to have had a moment of company. As she took the first step to trail after the young engima, she felt a touch intrude upon her shoulder as her gaze shifted towards the perpetrator, and noticed that his head reached for her mask. What a fool. Abbadon chimed in as the mask broke it's airtight seal and the young man caught a good cloud of void energy laced gas into his face. He choked of a moment on the very air he breathed in while she resealed her mask and turned away as she felt a cold shiver pulse through her spine. How pleasing, Ul thought to herself as she continued walking as Abbadon had acquired a small pet for his greater schemes. She knew what would become of the young man in the following hours of his stupidity. He would begin to see through Ul's eyes and soon his own consciousness would begin to deteriorate into insanity as Abbadon begun to fluctuate the young man's mental stimuli. Then there would be a physical change and luckily the ENC would discover yet another infected body should Abbadon decide not to keep him... should he keep the young boy, there would be a great change and the boy would turn into a mere beast under Ul's own control. A dark fate, but it was the price to pay for his own stupidity as she would never impede Abbadon's own actions if only because she merely held no concern for what he did with those who breathed in the gas she exhaled. There was no point... what he wished for, so did she.

She cast all remaining thoughts aside as she spotted Titania stopping by a streetside stall. She allowed herself a hidden grin as she approached as silent as ever till she came up alongside the young Enigma. "Slacking or striving?" Came the familiar speaker distorted voice beside Titania as hues of glowing magenta looked upon her dear friend for a moment before tracing a smile onto the surface of her respirator in order to show her happiness. A trick she had learned to use with her friends and those whom were close enough to her. "Caught sight of you while I was looking for marks to pass onto the others, and yourself. I figured you might want some company, no? Regardless..." Ul leaned in as she spoke with a whisper just barely audible so that only Titania could hear. "I caught some interesting scents, I believe several S-Class are present within the Alley..." Shortly after mentioning such, she continued speaking as though she had never said anything at all. "Regardless, what does the company have you doing now might I ask?"

I’ll have you looking good today, Sir. Don’t you worry. Don’t you worry about one thing.

Midnight Alley. Ask any wahoo on the street, in any part of Cavania about the area and they’ll end up rubbing their neck, glancing around and mentioning something about having to go somewhere. It wasn’t a bad place, every city had their own problems here and there, but for those that had no idea how to handle themselves, it was a death trap. The saying went that there was a better chance for rocks to speak than Alley to clean up its act. They weren’t wrong, it thrived on crime, but as always, it was always in the perception of the person’s eyes. For someone like Geralt, the Alley was home, metaphorically and literally, for all of his life. Born and raised in Midnight Alley, he lived a life of crime, indirectly through his parents. Even after he escaped from the E.N.C.’s hold, the first thing he did was return to his old home and attempt to reestablish himself. With the powers he had and the fear he had looming around his presence, he could’ve lived anywhere and gotten away with it. But as they say, there’s no place like home. Especially when there may or may not be some people that relied on him.

Speaking of the devil, where was that little munchkin? He shifted his eyes around the small room he was in, filled with only older looking men, their noses deep within the folds of newspapers or boisterously laughing at nostalgia. Brown hues gave another sweep of the people within, stopping as a glint caught his eye; ah, there she was, not looking all too happy. He didn’t know what to tell her, he had warned her he was going to make a stop somewhere first. It happened to be one of those days where his hair was beginning to turn upwards, no matter the amount of grease he might have used to hold it down. Before he washed it out, he might have been able to fry something with the amount he had had clinging to his locks. With hair that unruly, it was time for a trip to the local barber. Nothing was easy, of course, when he was reminded about his prior arrangement with one Sevan, his ever pleasant mooch of an underling that slept on his couch day in and day out. She wasn’t readily able to care for herself, not that he had any understanding why she wasn’t able to, but regardless, she had as much use around the house as drying a wet car with a damp cloth. As much as anyone might mention, Geralt always had some horrid generous side to him, deep down behind all the smoke, alcohol, and hookers. And to those that had to go through the same plight as him, even at a younger age, he couldn’t help but feel almost paternal towards them. He was one of four that lorded over them, in terms of power, and had helped to break them out. The best he could do was guide them along until they were able to get back on their feet.

He gave a small groan, turning his eyes to the other side and watching the barber as he readied himself to snip the customer’s hair into place. The man was probably old enough to tell him about Bedrock, but that was what made him such a preferred barber. Experience was the best, years of cutting hair and making sure it was in line, rather than doing it for the money. Once someone hits that many years of doing the same job, might as well enjoy it. “I only want a trim. It ain’t workin’ too well after all these months.” His eyelids closed shut, feeling the calloused hands of the older male touching his forehead, examining the work to be done. A few snips here and there, it wasn’t anything special. It wasn’t until he started fluffing up his hair to style it more that Geralt felt a bit uneasy. Since it was almost always slicked back, it being natural felt too odd. Like he actually had hair on his head, no matter the weirdness behind that statement. He only sighed, easing his mind so he could just get through it. He had to go shopping afterwards for his ward, since she was lacking in the clothing department. Sure, he might be fine with a woman walking around his home with little more than panties and a shirt on, but not when they weren’t legal.

A sharp shrill cry shook his brain, his eyes snapping open. The Enigma shot upwards in the chair, his eyes wide and rolling around in their sockets. It took a moment before he was able to regain his senses, whatever primitive part of his brain finally being wrapped down. A small frown overtook his face, knowing all too well what that noise was; he groaned softly, knowing his hair wasn’t completely finished and looking something a mess. “I’m going to have to go. I will come back to finish later.” Taking the body cover off of his chest, he slung it over the arm of the chair he was in, handing the bewildered man a set of bills. “Sevan, go back home. I’ll come back in a few hours.” The other men in the barbershop were switching between staring out of the large window, in the direction of the screech, and looking at the man that exited the building, heading towards it with a brisk run.

If there was one reason why someone would make him act like that. It was due to some primitive link or something, whatever. He didn’t really know how she explained it, but that critter of a bedmate he had told him that she had a link with him. Of course, he didn’t know s**t about her power, but all he did know was that she had called out for him and was in danger. True, there had been a sense of hostility in the air, but really, who didn’t expect that while in Midnight Alley? Oh, okay. So maybe this wasn’t really in Midnight Alley? Wow, that never even occurred to him. Slightly out of breath, he leaned against a light post, still facing towards the screech. Right, he needed an alternative way to get there. A slightly worn car next to him offered him a solution. Approaching it, not checking for its owner, he pressed a hand against the driver’s door, tapping it a few times. Within seconds, the door fell off, dropping to the road below, the hinge that had been holding it on black and eroded. A quick bit of corrosion and he was in possession of a new car. Shoving one of his knives into the ignition and turning the engine over, the vehicle puttered into life and he was off. Hammlin was his target, the looming, decrepit city bringing back memories of the war. The steering wheel under his grasp began to warp, the metal and plastics starting to feel a leakage of his disdain and anger. Considering the location, Juju was probably being harassed by some E.N.C. people. But, she was supposed to be an A-rank, beneath only four others. Who would be bothering her? It didn’t take long before he let out a groan, knowing that this fight was going to be a hassle. What happened to them just sending out normal agents? A few weapons, some armor, and maybe even some robots? Tch.

The car didn’t even get into the city before it went down, the rage starting to bubble inside of him continually leaking out, the tires wearing down and the metal pipes leading fluids. The car might as well have disintegrated for as what was left of it when it finally broke down, skidding to a stop over vine-ridden streets. The vines underneath him withered and decayed, a sphere of energy starting to envelop him. No, he couldn’t activate it yet. He had to rein that in in the even he came close to someone, an ally. Geralt stuffed his hands into his pockets, trudging along, sniffing about for the one who summoned him. Where was that woman? A sense of dread overcame him, his nerves on high alert as he passed a building, feeling a sense to get away from it. Add in that various tremors in the area and he had a bright idea what was happening. “Always the one to pick a fight, aren’t you?” Adrian was always near Juju, even when not fighting. If he was there and she had to call out, they were fighting someone strong. There were a few rumors of those new Enigmas, ones that were supposed to be on par with the Original Four. More S-Ranks? Bah. Second generation Enigmas, what a laugh. Rolling his shoulder, he opted to helping the one who couldn’t level a city with an earthquake, stepping through the broken panes of the glass doors.

Are these supposed to be the second gens?” Geralt was only a few steps into the building and he felt his body slowing down, even coming to a halt for a second or two. Gravity? Or maybe invisible chains? He didn’t know. He had seen enough from the enigmas in the war that not too much could surprise him. The other side of the room held the three, some men he had yet to see and Juju sticking onto a wall. Hmm. “Two on one? I didn’t know the new generation were so weak.” He ran a hand through his hair, slicking it back – it was frilled and fuzzy, not finished from the haircut – before straightening his jacket. This was gonna be fun.
