Keeli knew the minute that she was up and away from Dakota to keep him warm. Despite his protest to continue to sleep with Keeli, Dakota seemed to get up and follow her. He weaved between her paws and she looked down at him curious as he asked what they would do today. Before Keeli could even think of something they could do, he said he was hungry. She nodded in agreement. "Maybe we can get some food, sound good?" She spoke softly and nudged the little German Shepherd. Even though she had taken her dear babies out and it resulted in death, she would be fine going out with Dakota as long as she had others to back her up. She would never allow one person to take pups out alone again. They must be in a group of two or more. It was rule she would enforce as if they ever hoped to have more generations within Amaro, they would have to protect the young as best as they could. As the church bells rang, Dakota winced and Keeli looked down at him. She watched him press one ear against her and she cocked her head to the side, her tail swaying a little. What a cutie. She didn't smile however, a smile was rare to see on her face now. Her eyes watched him move towards the closest sleeping form. Lady was stirring slowly, but Dakota was going to work at making her get up faster it seemed. Keeli watched carefully, as the tracker obliged with Dakota. She was happy that many of the pack accepted him fully into their lives as well. He was left alone, abandoned for dead. If it wasn't for Keeli he probably never would have made it. The day she allowed him into her life, was probably the best thing she could have ever done. Without him, she probably wouldn't be able to carry on in these hard times.

As Lady greeted her, she nodded and spoke softly "Good morning. How are you?" She asked, in a bit of an awkward way. Being social seemed so new to Keeli, but she would pull through it eventually. "Dakota was complaining about being hungry, would you come with me and him to go find some food later today? We can take most of the pack with us. I don't know if we should hunt or just go to the food store." She asked Lady in hopes that the excellent tracker would join them on their scavenge for food, or even a small hunt. Either or, the pack needed food. It had been a few days since a decent meal. From the corner of her eye she seen Dakota slinking away, as long as he didn't leave the warehouse he was fine. There were many dogs around here to protect him. There was no real threat within the walls of their home anyway. Her ears flipped when Lady talked about Dakota. She nodded in agreement, a slight and rare smile forming softly. Her heart warmed at the thoughts of how quickly Dakota was growing and just how amazing he was turning out. Her facial expression stayed as a smile as she spoke "He is getting quite big, might even tower me later in his life." She chuckled softly, a sign that she was slowly feeling more comfortable. "I'm not the only one doing a good job though. Without you and the pack, I wouldn't be able to do it. We are all his family and he couldn't be raised by a better one." Her eyes softened and her tail wagged slightly. Her heart still stung everytime she thought of her pups, she would never forget them but she would eventually have to move on with life. She vowed to herself, this spring would be the change. She would loosen up and raise Dakota as her own. She would become the Alpha she was before, minus a douche bag of a mate. Her mind grew angry at the thoughts of her ex-mate. It was all his fault, everything. Right down to the T.

Suddenly there was a horrified shriek from Dakota, she had lost sight of him and panicked. Her heart almost stopped and she couldn't breathe. Her eyes narrowed but her body didn't move. Her mind went straight to the images of her brutally murdered pups. Shaking her head, Lady had already sprung into action, Keeli a few feet behind. The Alpha moved quickly and when she arrived, her eyes set on a large rat. It was making a hideous noise and Keeli was quite confused. Lady seemed to have moved Dakota out of the way, and instantly killed the large rat. Keeli huffed and eyed the rat, as Lady removed it and laid it outside. The tracker then went to Dakota and took him off the crates, talking to him. She watched their interaction and wagged her tail slightly. "Would you watch him for a bit, I'm going to go out alone for a while. I should be back within the hour. While you watch him, gather some to go out for some food later? Thank you Lady" She padded towards them and licked Dakota's cheek before nuzzle him. "Maybe if you are good Lady can teach you how to face off a rat on your own. Be good Kota." She looked down at him with her icy eyes and then padded out of the warehouse. The cold that struck her fur, made her wince. Her body didn't stop however. She moved forward, headed towards the far side of the city. If anyone wished to join her, she wouldn't mind.

OOC: Don't feel like I am skipping you guise over at the end. Just wanting Aspen to make some noise to wake all those other guise up. Go ahead and b***h him out if you want xD...

Snow continued to sprinkle the ground and Aspen would not at all be surprised if it continued to snow for the rest of the week, but at least the pack could hunt in these conditions. During the blizzard conditions hunting was practically impossible because it was so easy to lose one another, and that was before they even managed to find prey. Aspen for one was ready for a full belly, and it would certainly help raise the pack spirits if they all had a decent meal tonight. While contemplating their hunting prospects, which also meant Aspen would soon need to wake the rest of the pack, he became aware of another dog approaching him. As the pack Alpha he had developed a sixth sense for knowing when others were approaching him, while lost in his own thoughts. Aspen's eyes, which were soften by his warm expression, turned from the forest towards Allu just before she greeted him. "Morning," he answered the Tracker in his gentle, friendly tone. "I slept about as well as can be expected these days. Though I am hoping we may all have better rest tonight." Aspen spoke in that all knowing tone he could use, that has lasted from his younger days. Although now he was simply being fun, whereas then he was just being annoying. Allu liked to hunt - this much Aspen knew and he hoped the news might lift her spirits. He was about to go on and fill Allu in on his idea when a squelching sound caught his attention and the alpha turned his big head towards the barn. Aspen's first born son was making his way through the snow drifts in a manner that was amusing to him. "Maybe you should head back inside son," Aspen commented, but commended the fact that his five month old pup did not give up. However almost as soon as he thought to laugh Aspen's face fell as once again he was reminded that Tusa was not here to enjoy moments like these. How harsh it was that they should have their first litter and then lose each other. It was all Keeli's fault.

By the time Aspen shook himself from the surge of grief Thor was already climbing ontop of Allu, and then falling back down before the Anatolian Shepherd had a chance to scold him for being rude. Aspen narrowed his eyes at his son while the youngster unapologetically spoke first to Allu and then to him. To answer his question the Alpha male tipped forward off the tractor, landing gracefully on his large paws. Then with one of those big paws he smooshed it against the pups head, turning him to face the Duck Toller female. "Alpha duties huh? You can start by apologizing to Allu. I've told you before Thor, that climbing on dogs is rude." Taking back his paw Aspen eyed the pup sternly to make sure he did as he was told for once. "Good boy. We'll all eat soon, I promise." Aspen added, knowing that it was all the more important the pack hunted today now it was possible. Surviving on rodents and small animals for so long had done none of them any good, it was a miracle really that any young pups had survived this harsh winter. Aspen was about to instruct his son on what to do while he and the rest of the pack hunted, when yet again the Alpha was interrupted. This was not unusual, as his attention was often the most highly sought after. "Go ahead.. Kana." Aspen allowed, but he suspiciously looked beyond her to her older brother Vail as he approached as well. Given the manner the Trainees had gone off into the forest on their own, and how Vail had pursued them, the fact they had now returned with such eagerness while Vail looked all seriousness was a little suspicious. Not in the sense that Aspen was sure some pack rule had been defiled but he was certainly convinced someone was up to no good - again. He watched the glance Kana shot at her brother, and Aspen himself gave Vail a briefly perplexed look, but then he turned his full attention back on Kana. He waited until she finished, and then waited a minute longer in silence before taking a deep breathe and letting it out with a huff. "Given the storm now is not the time for us to be thinking about attacking Amaro, let alone seizing parts of their territory. Making rash moves will serve no purpose besides getting more pack members hurt, or worse." Aspen spoke sternly, his typical Alpha voice. In the back of his mind he was a little worried that with Kana being so headstrong, and of course grieving her loss as well, she may do something stupid. Aspen really hoped she wouldn't have to learn the consequences of rash moves as he had done in his own youth. "Still, if you are worried about the safety of the pack then perhaps it is time you had some proper training with the Guard. There wasn't much opportunity for learning during the storm." Aspen added, waiting a moment for this to sink in before he went on. "Vail can be your mentor for the foreseeable future." Aspen addressed both Kana and Koda when he said this. "You two will shadow him and follow his commands as if they were my own." Since there were no Deltas in the pack anymore, it was entirely down to Aspen to oversee the Trainees and their training - it was also ultimately up to him who mentored them.

"Now then," the Anatolian Shepherd went on. He doubted the conversation was over between himself, the two Trainees and Vail but he needed to get things moving onward with this hunt. "Let's see who is ready for a hunt," the Alpha added and then tipped back his head to summon the rest of the pack. He then turned his attention back to the Shepherds, wondering whether any of them would dispute his verdict while they waited for the rest of the pack to awaken and assemble for the hunt.

RAWRAllu nodded her head in agreement to with Aspen. It was definitely hard to sleep now a days. Her ears perked up at his last comment, making her tail start up a small wag at the tip. 'Is he...hinting to a hunt?' She was excited by just the thought. That alone brought her spirits up. Just then the sound of crunching snow caught her attention and, low and behold, there was a mini Aspen marching through the snow. Well, as best as any puppy could. He was completely adorable, even if he did rub her the wrong way at times. But just because he irritated her did not mean she didn't love the little rascal. The determined little fur ball ignored his father's words and continued coming at them, and then realizing his intentions she let out an exasperated sigh. This was not the first time he had used her as a step stool and she was sure it would not be the last. Allu didn't much mind though, he was a pup still and when it comes to puppies...well she melts in front of them. The Duck Toller helped the puppy up as he climbed up her, but in a subtle way in hopes that he wouldn't notice, like hunching down a little when he was climbing up and then leaning a little closer to the tractor. The pup observed that she was not a big dog at all, as she was one of the smaller breeds of retrievers. Her eyes narrowed at the pup, not at all liking being called short. "He doesn't mean any harm..." She assured her alpha, though she would appreciate the apology whether Thor truly meant it or not. Again, he was still a puppy though and manners don't come naturally to them, but perhaps the pack could teach Thor some before he was a big dog like his father. Looking at the puppy, her eye twitched. They had their work cut out for them.

RAWRHearing Aspen's words of eating soon, the excitement returned and she look at the puppy with a teasing smile. "Just remember, little Thor, that I will be one of the ones hunting to put food in your tummy." She said, in hopes that he would keep that in mind the next time he decided to throw a insult her way, even if he really didn't mean any true harm by them. Before much more could be said, they were joined by Kana, Vail, Koda, and if she wasn't mistaken Moxie was over near where they had previously been. Her head tilted a little with her floppy ears perked forwards as the trainee spoke. Allu understood the want for vengeance, but now wasn't the time for such violence and bold displays. They needed to take the time to regroup and mourn. Aspen brought another good point, not only had they lost members but the winter storms have brought grief to the pack. They hadn't been able to eat as much as they once had, which was normal in the winter months. This was one of their most vulnerable times of the year and a time where they needed to focus on their own pack and not worry about what another one may be doing.

RAWRAllu listened to Aspen come up with a way to smooth over the problems at hand. Listening to his reasoning made her happy that he was her alpha. As he called for the rest of the pack, Allu began to dance on her paws. Her bubbly personality was beginning to show already. Her tail was wagging furiously now, making her rump sway with her tail. She'd done hunting on her own time to brush up her skills, but nothing beat the thrill of the pack hunt. Allu just hoped that they would be able to find something. A lot of the prey were usually hidden at this time of the year, hunkered down in the warmth just like they were. Still, if they were to have a pack hunt then she'd work with the other Trackers of the pack and surely the three of them could find something suitable for their pack size. Unable to keep still, Allu paced around the group. "Hurry up everyone! It's time for a hunt!" She barked to whoever would listen.

Moxie circled back around when he heard Kana call his name, and realized that no one had been following him. ”Slow little puppies,” he tsked through the tennis ball in his mouth. But Vail soon made it clear that they were not going on an adventure and, for a moment, Moxie looked genuinely disappointed.Kana was quick to remedy that with a soft whisper. The Border Collie’s brows raised and the usual smile pulled back his lips. He panted quietly through the wool of the dirty, yellow ball, excitement flooding him, and then bounded eagerly after Kana. ”Aspen, Aspen, Alpha Aspen…” Moxie continued to repeat the Anatolian Shepherd’s name as he darted back through the snow and towards home. He bounded through each snow pile he saw. Vail may have stopped their adventure in its tracks, but Moxie still planned on enjoying himself no matter what.

It did not take long for the Senki Iota to find his way home. He pranced excitedly towards the large tractor that Aspen was perched on, but said nothing. Kana had shown up before Moxie’s own arrival and he was at least respectful enough not to interrupt. He was not, however, respectful enough to cease his playing. While the German Shepherd and their Alpha Male discussed the situation, which the Border Collie found quite boring, Moxie began to throw his tennis ball against the rusty tractor. It bounced off of the metal with a bang each time and rolled through the snow. He gave chase and moved faster each time, nearly bowling over Allu once. After one particularly high throw, the male paused to speak with his friend before pursuing his beloved toy.

”Mornin’ Allu,” he barked too loudly. He gave her muzzle a slobbery kiss and then darted off, tumbling through the snow to where his tennis ball had landed. With it firmly clamped between his teeth, he hopped his way back towards the tractor and gave the ball one final throw, but it was sloppy because of Aspen’s unexpected announcement that grabbed the Iota’s attention. ”A hunt? A HUNT?” He squeaked over the sound of Aspen’s summoning howl. Moxie’s white-tipped tail nearly lifted him off the ground with how furiously it was wagging. A loud bang reminded him that he was still playing ball and his eyes leaped from Aspen to the sky, searching for it. But it didn’t soar through the air as it normally had. In fact, Moxie didn’t see it at all… Until…

Kana squished his tennis ball between her teeth, it having nearly hit her in the face before she’d instinctively snapped it up. Moxie’s heart gave a hard thud. His eyes were the size of a full moon. ”MINE!” The Border Collie didn’t hesitate. He threw his growling figure on top of Kana, legs thrashing, and wrestled with her to the ground. Moxie was often a dog who instigated roughhousing, but he wasn’t playing this time. The tennis ball meant everything to him as it was the only token he had from his past, and it was rare for him to let anyone touch it with their paws, let alone with their mouths. Yet here was Kana with her fangs buried deep into his tennis ball. The Iota could tolerate a lot of things, but this was not one of them.

Moxie pinned the Trainee within seconds, which was impressive considering her muscular build and the rank she was pursuing. He dipped his head down and grabbed the ball, which he proceeded to tear from her hold. No, little pup, mine,” scolded Moxie as he stepped away from the confused female, squeezing the tennis ball reassuringly between his teeth. Any seriousness disappeared from his face as though nothing had happened at all, and the bright sparkle had returned to his brown eyes. For a moment, the male stood still and simply chewed on the yellow toy in his mouth. Then, he glanced down at Kana who was still on the ground. With the ball half hanging from his mouth, he spoke. ”What are you doing down there? Stand up! Didn’t ya hear what Aspen just said? We’re going hunting!” When Moxie said the word “hunting” it sounded holy. He loved hunting for obvious reasons: he could run around, herd the prey towards his pack mates, and chase it too. To Moxie, it was absolutely exhilarating.

When Allu suddenly announced again that a hunt was to commence, Moxie dropped his tennis ball in the snow and launched himself at her without warning, his tongue lolling out and leaving a stream of spit behind. ”Yes, hurry! Hurry everyone!” He yipped as he threw his front legs over Allu’s back and grabbed one of her red ears between his teeth. ”A hunt, a hunt!” The Border Collie barked again before trying to wrestle the Duck Tolling Retriever to the ground.

The Anatolian Shepherd puppy heard his father suggest him heading back inside but he was strong enough to make it to his father and wouldn’t let anything stop him. Proud of himself for making it there in one piece and after climbing on top of the orange stepladder he got a paw smooshed into his head. His head was forced to look at her and he apologized to her even though he didn’t mean it. “I’m sorry I used you as my ladder to get to my papa.” He said softly, and wrinkled to his nose. In his mind he added Even if you deserved it. Stoopid girl. He knew it was rude to do it, but in his mind the dog was in his way and therefore deserved to be climbed upon. Upon the praise of following the demand he wagged his tail and licked the snow from his nose. With the promise of food he got more excited at least until his orange ladder spoke again, he wrinkled his nose at her. “I didn’t ask you. Speak when..ugh. I ask you something!” He snapped at her and huffed at her. He turned his head to his papa, just in case he was going to get scolded again. Upon spotting the pack’s iota he growled at the stoopid brute. Whispering under his breath, “go play with Amaro.”

His ears flopped over all the adult talk, he didn’t understand what all was going on but could feel the sadness through the dogs, including his father. Wiggling his way between his father’s paws as he spoke to the other bigger dogs he nodded in agreement in whatever he had said. The small pup had no idea what was being said but if his father said it then it must be good. “ Worse? What’s worse than getting hurt?” he asked and once he was ignored he huffed and stared at the orange ladder. “Shhh. Poppa’s talking.” Even if he wasn’t the point was, he didn’t want to listen to her speaking. The iota’s stoopid face started yelping about “hunting” he trembled with annoyance. Thor blamed Moxie for his mother’s death, even if it wasn’t his fault, he had held Thor back from following his father and getting to him and possibly saving his mother.

Looking up at his father he leaned his head to the leg of his father, “What is a “hunt”?” he asked and made a face at the iota who was wrestling Allu to the ground. “What is wrong with you?” he asked softly and growled at him, but the growl sounded like a squeaky ‘grrrrr’ and not an actually growl. It couldn’t be normal that the grown dog was acting like one of his siblings, something was wrong with the boarder collie and even knowing this the pup still blamed him for anything that went wrong with the pack. Clearly if a grown up couldn’t act like one that meant he was a problem. Looking up at his father Thor spoke up once more, “I can go on this “hunt” papa? I’ll be good I promise!” he pleaded with his father and escaped from between his father’s paws and stood up on his back limbs licking at his muzzle. “Please papa?” he asked again and gently nipped his ear.

Long legs stepped through the snow as the massive spotted dog sniffed about the white powdery substance. He did not care much for the snow and instead of wanting to play or roll around in it, he wanted it to melt. He liked the cooler weather, but this was all too much. Liking his snow covered nose, the Great Dane snorted. The weather was warmer, and the large storms had passed, giving way to spring. Moose was happy enough for that, it would be good for there to be grass and flowers. Protroling the outside of the large warehouse that his pack slept inside of, the large guard dog roamed through the snow, keeping his nose on the ground and his ears up in the air. He was doing his duty of guarding the densite, and keeping the other dogs safe. Not like it was much needed as no dog with any brains would try to come this far into the city to come after the Amaro pack. But this was his job ever since he come to reside in this pack. Sighing as he seated himself in the snow he looked back onto his memories of being with the Amaro pack. He had come here with his sister several years ago. But she was dead now, just like his mother and father were. All were taken from him by cruel fate leaving he alone in this terrible world. His large heart hurt, the loss of his sister had sent him in a spiral of depression and anger. She had been too young, she had been his best friend, the one dog he could always rely on. And now she was gone. It made him not even want pups, what kind of life would they have in this terrible world? It would be more merciful if no more pups were ever born.

Standing and shaking out his thin fur, he snorted again. With the sun coming up, the other pack members would be awakening soon, and he wanted to be around to get any orders from his alphaess. Trotting through the snow he came to the broken door that was one of a few entrances into the warehouse. Squeezing through the tight space the massive dog had to lower his body over a foot just to get inside. He was tall for any dog, even for his breed. And though dogs such as Irish Wolfhounds are on average the tallest, a Great Dane could be taller. And Moose was one of those taller ones. Standing at over four feet, he was a giant among other dogs. And with his weight and muscle he was an excellent fighter and hunter. All of his life he hunted to feed himself and his family. Now he used his skills to help feed the pack he lived among. Long legs stepped through dust and around empty crates. He wonder just what humans used to do here, and why there were all of these boxes. But it did not matter, the humans were almost all wiped out, due to some illness that took them long before he was born. Still it would be nice to know what happened here in the past. Screams rang out through the warehouse and the Great Dane's head shot up as his ears turned in massive circles to hear. It sounded like Dakota, the puppy their alphaess had adopted before her pups were killed. Rushing up from the lower floor he was on to where the sound of screams came from.

Moose arrived just as he saw his alphaess leave the building. Confused the massive brute lumbered over to Lady and the young pup Dakota. "Good morrow," he said as he approached the two. Smiling at the lovely Lady the guard dog seated his rump on the ground before speaking again. "I heard yelps. May I ask what happened?" Licking his Black nose the large brute turned to Dakota with his question, both worry and sympathy in his brown eyes. "Are you alright little one?" he asked. Ever sine the loss of the real alpha pups, Moose had felt empathy with his alphaess. And he too had grown attached to Dakota in their absence. He might never have pups, but at least he could care for those that were already among them. If Moose ever had pups he would not know what to do with them. And though it was not a phobia like Lady's fear of having them. He still believed that no more needed to be born in this cruel world. He felt at times if might have been better had he and his sister never been born. His parents would probably not have died is such terrible ways as they did and he would not feel the pain of losing both them and his beloved sister. This life hurt, and he did not want to bring pups into it. Looking to Lady next for an answer he gave her a kind look. She was a pretty fae, a gentle one that had pride and vigor in her. It was something he admired in her.

OOC: Introducing Taer. Senki will never be the same again.

The last few rays of the morning sun peeped through the cracks in the desolated barn, making the black and tan brute wrinkle his muzzle in distaste when the sun shone through his tightly closed eyelids, forcing him to wake up. While the mongrel may be many things, ranging from runner to an irresistible female’s brute, he was definitely not an early riser. He wriggled around and tried to make himself comfortable, even after realising that most of the body warmth from his packmates were long gone. He stayed in his cockroach position for a few moments longer, his belly and privates exposed in full glory for the world to see, until the cracked open one eyelid to see who else was still in the barn with him. Needless to say, being one of the latest risers, there were hardly any dogs left in the barn. He could hear sounds of scuffling and barks coming from outside, meaning that most of Senki have already started with their busy days. The concept of a “busy day” was not something that existed in Taer’s mind. If he could have his way, he would spent the whole day wooing faes and impressing them with stories of his conquests. After all, who could resist him, Taer the mighty speedster of Senki?

Taer was about to shut his eyes again and try to snatch a few more moments of sleep, before Aspen decided to thrust his big butt into the barn and drag him outside by his scruff, when an obnoxiously loud bark roused every drop of fatigue from his body. To make matters even worse, the same obnoxiously loud dog also dripped over his outspread tail in his mad headlong dash outside. Taer didn’t even need to look up to know that it was Moxie, Senki’s hyperactive and ball-loving Border Collie with the mental age of a four month old pup. Taer sighed and shook his head in mock despair as he rolled onto his belly and climbed onto his paws. His front paws stretched out in front of him as he yawned, stretching out the stiffness in his body to begin the morning. His body fresh and rejuvenated, and his legs ready for a day of chasing and running, he ambled out of the barn to greet the world and announce his presence to anyone who cared.

Instead of making his way straight to where everyone seemed to be gathering, Taer instead trotted to the back of the barn to look for a puddle from which he could drink from. It was too early in the morning to head down to the river or even to look for a stream, and a puddle would do just fine. Luckily for him, he found a shallow puddle of water sitting in a dip in a particularly large rock, serving as plate or sorts. It was barely more than a few mouthfuls, but it would suffice for now. Taer’s tongue flicked out to slurp noisily at the puddle, but he had barely drank more than a few mouthfuls before Aspen’s summoning barks rang through the whole area, signalling that there was going to be a hunt. With a natural instinct to chase anything that moves, Taer’s paws tingled with anticipation as he trotted towards Aspen, his tail merrily wagging behind him.

A small party had already gathered by the time Taer made it to the alpha. The lanky black and tan Tracker’s muzzle was pulled back into a joyful grin, and his graceful trot almost made him look as though he was prancing. ”A welcoming party just for me? Thanks Aspen, I mean I know I play a crucial part in the hunt, but you didn’t have to do all this. Thanks though, I didn’t know you cared.” He hardly gave Aspen a second glance before making a beeline for Allu, his fellow Tracker and more importantly, a fae. He dramatically tripped over a small rock, and collapsed in front of Allu with his belly facing the sky. ”Allu, your beauty is so dazzling that it blinds me. Oh my eyes, I can’t take it anymore!” He covered his eyes with his front paws as if he was really being blinded, while pretending to groan in pain.

RAWR Allu saw her long time friend come tearing into the pack, being his usual self. He'd given her a slobbering kiss and while she had shook her head in attempt to rid the slobber, she really hadn't minded all that much. While she'd listened to Aspen, she saw Moxie out of the corner of her eye and couldn't help but to roll her eyes and shake her head at his silliness. At least until Kana grabbed the ball. She prepared to intervene, but the whole even happened so quickly that it was over just as it started and Moxie was back to being his goofy self. She sighed in relief and returned to trying to hurry the pack along for a hunt. That didn't last long at all, as she quickly had Moxie trying to wrestle her to the ground. She widened her stance, trying to hold up both herself and Moxie. She felt a tug from her ear and knew she was caught. She tried to duck down and escape that way. but it wasn't going to happen. She barked at the dog atop her, trying to jump up make him slide off that way, which of course didn't happen. Allu was just about to just drop to the ground and roll onto her back when a dog made her stop all movements and just stare at how cheesy he was. She'd missed his first comments, but she couldn't have missed his next. There brute was, laying on his back and flirting with her. She full on laughed at his antics, unable to keep quiet any longer between Moxie and Taer.

RAWRShe fell in a heap on the ground. She wriggling forwards to Taer and decided he needed to join in the scuffle. "Your adorable." She told the dog in a teasing tone. "But also a dork." Allu laughed and pawed at him before rolling over and reaching up to tug on Moxie's ear. the revenge didn't last long and she wriggled her way back onto her belly. "I think Taer needs to join in on the fun." She said to Moxie before crawling her way over to Taer and laying on him. "Quick Moxie, I've got him!" She cried out out with delight. She tried to put all of her thirty-seven pounds into holding Taer down. They all pretty much weighed the same amount, if anything the males a bit more then her. Allu was tempted to bring the Thor into the fun, but she wasn't sure if he'd actually join them. From the looks he'd been sending Moxie, she high doubted. So instead she'd just have to show the pup that it was more than just seriousness and working hard, it was playing hard too. Not to mention she found that it helped with bonding with pack members as well. Growling playfully, Allu nibbled one of Taer's forelegs . Had he not been rolled over she would have grabbed his scruff, but he wasn't and had his belly and throat exposed. So the leg was an alternative, as she didn't have a desire to grab his throat. It might turn playtime into something more serious really quick like.

When the storm brewed, Sheva had been as close as she could get to an area where the cold wind would blow against her red and white fur. Lately, she's been sleeping very much on her own and away from other dogs, due to the slight depression of not having her brother by her side. It's been a little over a year since he left and two months since Aspen's mate passed. Ever since then it's been nothing but constant snow, not that it bothered her at all, considering her breed, but it was a danger to some canines with slightly thinner fur and inability to move through snow. Her blue and parti-colored hues opened, gazing around through the pile of sleeping dogs, two seemed to had left and a third followed after. Has the storm calmed itself? Sheva lifted her head and peered outside from where she laid, trying to make out what she could see. The storm did indeed die off and this brought much excitement. She whined happily as she stood, her sickle-like tail curling over her rump as she moved through the still sleeping canine with grace, not stepping on a single tail nor paw, barely even touching one's fur.

She ventured outside, inhaling the cold hair and shivering in pleasure as it filled her lungs. She smiled and began to pad through the snow as if it were nothing. Winter. Her favorite season. She loved the cold more than anything and is always reminded her of the fun she and her siblings would have. Sheva had her own playing session as she nipped at the snow and ran, allowing the falling snow to cling onto her fur. She stopped as she saw the Shepherd duo of Kana and Koda approach Aspen, whom had left his den already. She stood and watched everything go on, though her ears perked as someone shouted out the word 'hunt'. She smiled and wagged her tail, now approaching the group, though upon seeing Vail trail not far from his sister and her friend, she veered towards him from behind. She was quiet, the snow seemed to obey her steps and refrain from making the crunching noise it usually made. She ran her side along his, her tail tilting and sliding under his chin as she turned to face him with a smile.
"Grumpy as ever I see." She said then looked at his sister. "You know, you shouldn't be so harsh on Kana..." Her words were soft, her tone sweet. "She means well...in her own way." She stuck her tongue out at him before turning around and gathering up with the others.

Moxie, Alu, Taer, and even little Thor was there. Smiling at the group, the bowed her head to Aspen before sitting down.
"So! What are we hunting today?" She asked with a smile, her tail swaying in obvious excitement of the hunt. ""

sendansosThere was a soft, white, fluffy puppy of four whole months that was snuggled up against a Miniature Schnauzer, Enali. The small dog was the only mother the little pup had ever known and, though, they weren't related by any means, it didn't matter to the ball of white fluff that was nearly as big as her nine year old mother. Her right back leg slipped out from under her and the pup growled sleepily, tucking it back in only to have it slip out again. Finally after fighting with it for a few minutes, the white and fluffy pup lifted her head, almost shaped brown eyes blinking a few times, small black nose wiggling as her mouth opened, healthy pink tongue coming out and curling back as she yawned.

sendansosStanding up, Lola stretched her legs and her back, fluffy tail beginning to wag as she looked around. There were some pack members still cuddled together, sleeping within the barn to take shelter from the wind and snow that was winter. Some were missing as well, which was typical, there were some early risers in the pack she belonged to. Turning to look at Enali, her mother, the pup known as Lola nudged her with her head a few times.

sendansos"Mama," She called, putting a small puppy paw on her mother's head gently. She got no reply, though.

sendansos"Mama, wake up." Lola barked softly. Her mum could be a heavy sleeper when she wanted to be. Sighing, she removed her paw, the pup went and exited the barn, not even seeming to notice the snow. Really, her breed was meant to be outdoors and, even though she was still a pup, her coat was layered and downy so it easily protected her from the cold of the Canadian winter. Now ... who could she play with. That was the important question!

Tractor. She took a deep breath of icy air and headed in that direction. The cold never really bothered her, but she did like basking in the sun. As she neared the tractor she saw the pack gathering. Irritation set in over her as she saw Sheva sauntering around. A low irritated growl announced her presence as she neared the rest of them. She caught wind of the word hunt and her tail began to wag. If it's one thing she did love, it was a hunt. She made sure to keep her distance from Sheva. Her attitude sometimes got on her nerves. She shook snowflakes from her coat and looked to her favorite little pack pup, Thor. Her tongue lolled out and she walked over to the pup. She sat down next to him and chuckled softly, "Hunts are for grown-ups, Thor." She spoke gently and nipped at his ear. She looked up to Aspen for him to back her up. "They can be very dangerous." She said. She gave the pup's head a gently lick. She looked back to Aspen, "What are we going after today?" She asked.

Yori yawned, the female was tired from a night of patrolling. She looked to little Thor. If a hunt did happen someone would need to stay behind with him, or he would have to come. She knew the pack could use her strength in taking down dinner, but who would watch little Thor? She would happily volunteer to stay behind with him, she was tired anyway. Her back foot came up and scratched behind her ear. Her paws were starting to get a little cold. She would love to curl up in the barn for just a little while. "If you want, Aspen, I can stay behind with Thor." She knew the pup would object to being looked after, but they all knew that he needed to be safe. She would show him a few things while the others were away. Then again if Aspen needed her she would do what she was told. Yori stood from the snow and stretched her body. She gave a soft whine of satisfaction as she rolled her shoulders.

                                                          OOC:
                                                          XXXX
Vail's eyes narrowed in annoyance as Kana refused to make the promise to him. He had thought it would be obvious the deal would end once she had become a full guard... After all once that happened they would be the same rank and he would no longer have any real authority over her... Unless he himself were to be promoted. The thought of no longer having any control over his sister was terrifying to him. In his mind she was already hanging by a thin thread not only in this pack but with her life. He felt as if he was the only thing keeping her in line, and in turn, keeping her alive. Whether that was really true or not was unclear but it was a fear that constantly nagged at him.

Either way Kana did agree to speak to Aspen about her idea. Vail knew Aspen would not agree with it which in turn made Kana safe once again... If only until she came up with her next brilliant idea. Without saying anything in return Vail watched as each dog walked passed him. Only once they were all in front of him did he turn and follow, bringing up the rear so that he could keep an eye on them all.
Before long the small group made it back to their barn territory. Aspen was quickly sought out and located quickly. Vail remained very quiet, as he usually was. His eyes passed between those present, Allu and the young Alpha pup, 'Thor.' Vail nodded his head in greeted to the two before sitting down and turning his eyes up towards Aspen. The Alpha looked a bit bewildered but Vail's stoic and emotionless face did not give away his internal annoyance at the gibberish Kana was spouting out at him.

The Guard's tail tapped the ground a few times as he listened to the conversation. He of course knew Kana was not telling Aspen everything she had planned and the fact she and Koda were planning on invading the territory by themselves. He decided to keep this to himself, though. It was not his intention to get either of the trainees in trouble... All he wanted was to burst that bubble Kana had formed around herself, and also reel her in a bit.

Aspen ruling came to a surprise to Vail. He has always thought of himself as a mentor to Kana though never really had any official power over her. This suited him quite well as now he could do more to keep her in line and keep her safe. Spending time with Koda was not exactly something he was thrilled about but if he could help turn him into a proper member of the guard he knew that would be what was best for the pack in the long run. "I will do my best with them both." He replied with a court nod before getting to his feet. A hunt was being called and not a moment too soon. Vail's own stomach was beginning to growl and become uncomfortable.

Vail's head swiftly turned as sounds of roughhousing caught his attention. He watched as Moxie assaulted Kana then scampered away from him. He snorted in annoyance but knew the Collie likely hadn't meant any harm, even if it did look a little rough to Vail.
Vail approached Kana, unsure how she would greet him. "Kana." He stopped as he came to her side. Unsurprisingly Kana was in a foul mood. She shot him such a glare that he staggered for a moment or two. After that his annoyance with her rose once again. "You will not go outside our territory without my permission until further notice. Do I make myself clear?" He glared down at her, ready to assert his new authority over here if need be.

To his surprise Kana simply stalked off practically fuming with resentment. In that moment, sensing that, Vail felt regretful for what he had just said. "Kana, wait a min..." It was too late, she was already gone. A loud sigh escaped the dog as he allowed his head to fall. Could she not see all he wanted to do was help her? If she would just stop fighting him every step of the way... As he contemplated how to go about facing this someone familiar managed to sneak up behind him. It was Sheya, a pack tracker. Vail tolerated her seemingly affectionate gesture but did not return it, he was not really known for being very intimate with anyone and he was quite clueless when it came to females. He had a hard enough time dealing with Kana let alone any others.

Vail scoffed and turned his eyes away as she commented on how 'grumpy' he seemed. Perhaps it was true but Vail did not usually see it that way. At the mention of Kana Vail allowed his golden brown eyes to fall back into her bright blue ones. For half a moment he wanted to raise his lip spitefully at her and ask what she knew about it? But the moment soon passed and instead he slowly began to consider her advice. Like usual Vail said nothing, though his head did tilt when she stuck her tongue out at him.

Vail was left alone once Sheya went off to join the others on the hunt. He watched her retreating form for a moment or two before turning his eyes towards where Kana had stalked off to. With another sigh Vail began to slowly make his way over. His head and tail were held low, he did not want to seem as if he was coming to hound her again.
Vail made his presence known by purposely bumping his paw into a small rock. Once Kana looked at him he knew he was probably the last dog she wanted to be around right now. "Just wait a minute." He asked before she could walk away from him again.
Awkwardly Vail shuffled on his paws a few times, his head turning from Kana to the gathering hunters a few times before finally speaking. "Why don't you go and see if you can go on this hunt... Without me." He could barely believe his own words. Normally if Kana tried to participate in a hunt he would practically insist on lending his own services, just to make sure she did not get too close to the action. "I know you do not wish to become a tracker but they do have many useful skills that a Guard dog should know. Allu and them can teach you that better than I ever could... I will stay behind and work with Koda." He fell silent and tilted his head to the side, hoping she would be pleased with this new found freedom from him. "Just... Try to be safe. And do as you are told." He added in before she could respond.

*~*Enali*~*
Senki Mender

Enali was in a rather good dream. It was summer and her mate Amadeus had found a profound patch of strawberries and their people were sitting on a blanket off to the side, like they used to do when they were pups. Thankfully this was one of the dreams that didn't turn ugly as she suddenly heard a young voice penetrate her dream and brought her back to the cold reality of the barn with the Senki pack. Her bushy eyebrows and her dry nose twitched as the puppy Lola nudged her awake. She grunted and lifted her head, which revealed that her iron grey beard was smushed to one side and a few bits of straw clung to it. "Mmmm. Lola. Not so early, love," she growled at the pale colored pup. But as she started to wake up, she could hear other members of the pack start to stir as well, which just meant that she would have to wake up too, or else Lola or the other puppies will wander off without her. The old Schnauzer sat up and shook her face, shaking free the bits of straw and straightening out her beard and sneezed.

She looked around a bit to see that quite a few of the dogs had already left the barn, and there was just a bit of a commotion outside. With a tired groan she stood up and stretched her hind legs and then leaned back to stretch her front before walking to the barn doors, though she shivered and recoiled a little from the cold air. "Lola. Not too far, please," she barked after the pup as she took a few more tentative steps towards the gathering pack around Aspen. She wagged her stumpy tail as the alpha took care of the agitated shepherds and then announced that they were to go on a hunt. That would definitely be a good idea; there should still be some herds of elk hanging around here. If nothing else, a few deer. The Trackers, who took up the main body of the pack, looked eager and excited to go out on the hunt for food. Even Aspen's young pup, Thor wanted to join in the pursuit. Before Enali could say anything else, Yori made herself known and offered to stay behind to watch over him. "That won't be necessary, Yori," she chimed in, getting used to the cold now that she was out of the barn. She walked up a few more steps and sat down next to Lola. "The pups will stay with me. We can go on our own little hunt. There are always muskrats and hares to find in the snow, aren't there, Thor?" she asked the pup, and then looked up at Aspen.

The pups of Senki were always up for joining the adults for a hunt, when in truth they were far too small and not strong enough to keep up. Even Enali had trouble sometimes when the Trackers were hot on a trail with her shorter legs. So instead she minds the puppies and at least teaches them the basics of hunting before they officially train, so she takes them on smaller hunts for game that was more for their size, and prey on animals that was most unlikely to hurt them. It was an agreement she and Aspen's father, and then Aspen had for the younger members of their pack. It kept them happy and occupied, as well as teaching them valuable skills for later in life. Not to mention that it kept the puppies out of the way while the others were away on the real hunt.

It felt like a moment from his worst nightmares as Dakota was chased by the ungodly ugly looking creature behind him. His big dark brown eyes looked frantically around in search of his mother and caught sight of Lady jumping over objects to reach him: it was like a superhero scene as she came to rescue him. He gave a hopeful look and wag of his tail as he ran in her direction directly, trying desperately not to fumble and go tail over tin cans across the floor. Though the rat was fast, Dakota may have been just a little faster and had gained some distance over the vile beast when his adrenaline truly kicked in. The next thing the little pup knew was that he was up off the ground, flying much like in his dream only to land on a crate. Turning swiftly around, Kota watched as his savior dispatch the predator that had tried to take him down and let out a defiant bark in happiness. His tail wagged and he gave the dead body of the rat an evil look as it was tossed out to the cold. "And tell your friends they'll get the same thing too!" he cried out defiantly, mocking the dead creature as he stood happily atop his crate. As Lady came back over, his tail wagged as he neared the edge, preparing to jump down but not seeming able to decide in what matter. As if on cue, the fae plucked him from his perch and set him gingerly on the ground. She had called him Alpha Dakota and that had gone straight to his head as his tail wagged nearly so hard his little but shook which made his extra skin shake as he pranced gleefully over to Lady.. When she licked his forehead, he wagged his tail and licked her cheek before nipping it playfully and in a sort of 'thank you'. "That's right! I'm the boss around here!" he played along, prancing around Lady happily in a circle and pretending to try and knock her over. "Grr, I'm so big and mighty!" he gave an excited bark, trying to fluff up his furr which only added a puppy 'poof' to him and truly made him look silly. He was very playful until he saw his mother and skid to a halt. "I mean, of course. Momma is really in charge, but I like to pretend I am!" he said, his tail wagging as he looked up at his mom. The initial worried look on her face made him shrink back a bit and he knew he shouldn't have done what he did. "I'm sorry Momma, I didn't mean to worry you. I wanted to try and hunt you food and make you proud" his tail wagged as he weaved between her paws and rubbed lovingly up against her. Yawning a moment in more of a need to stretch his jaws, he half listened to what Keeli said to Lady, his eyes rolling over the other waking forms of the others sleeping before his attention was captured once more by the looming figure above him when affection was given. He loved affection, especially from his Momma which he was happily returning as his but shook from his tail wagging so hard and his tongue licking her cheek and under her jaw. Sitting down, his little rear still twitching against the floor. When the proposition of staying behind to learn was given, the pup debated over it and didn't take long to come to a conclusion as his mother started stalking off. Of course, then he really realized she was leaving and before he knew it, he was running after her.

"Momma, wait! when she would stop and turn around, he would touch his nose to hers if she permit it. "Be safe, pwease? And then we can play? Or I can help you with your boss jobs and you can teach me about them! But come back soon okay?" nuzzling against her chest, he turned and ran back towards lady. [colordarkblue]"I'm gonna get you Lady!" he huffed, pouncing on her s best as he could. Whether the black beauty wanted it or not, she was about to be a part of his game where he was going to try and wrestle her to the ground. The sound of approaching paws though lay pause to their game as the curious pup looked upwards to see who may be coming to join their play. "Big Moose!" he called over -a favorite and common name the pup used for the large brute- as the male canine lumbered their way, greeting them and asking if everything was alright. "Everything is okay now Big Moose, Pretty Lady beat up and killed a rat that tried to mess with me! She showed it! And she's gonna show me how to do that too! Oh, but maybe we can find food first? Momma told Pretty Lady it would be okay if we went to the food place or looked for food as long as we had someone with us. And I'm huuungry" an exaggerated faint and you would swear the pup more tired than anything. It seemed he still had to master some acting skills, but that came with time. "Big Moose, I'm gonna be big just like you some day! And then I can get food all by myself! Right?" he asked, before looking between the two expectantly, as if there was a one-lined 'answer-all' to the universe.

Location: Warehouse xxCompanions: Dakota, MoosexxOOC: <3~ I'll post Moxie tomorrow, my sweets!

Lady’s snout wrinkled with pleasure as DaKota rewarded her heroism with a lick and n** to her cheek. Her brown eyes were warm and loving. The small pup pranced proudly around her in a circle and playfully tried to knock her over. On cue, the Tracker lowered herself to the ground submissively. ”Oh yes,” Lady agreed when Keeli’s son began to brag about his physique, ”Big and mighty and strong!” She rolled onto her back and pawed at his tiny face, but an expression resembling fear replaced that of joy, and he shrank back towards the warehouse floor. Lady shifted her gaze and blinked up at Keeli, who had only just arrived. Quickly, the Belgian Shepherd climbed to her paws and bowed her head to the true Alpha Female of Amaro.

”Of course, I would love to,” replied Lady when Keeli asked her to keep an eye on DaKota. ”Please,” the black-furred female added, ”take all the time you need. The warehouse isn’t going anywhere and neither are we.” With a smile plastered on her face, the Tracker watched Keeli move towards the exit. DaKota dashed forward without warning and Lady began to move after him, worried that he was going to follow his mother out into the cold. But no, he just wanted to give the beautiful Alphaess a proper farewell, and gently he touched his nose to hers. Lady smiled at the sight. It heated her cold body. Her phobia of motherhood was odd… She personally could not imagine herself taking care of pups but watching other females do just that always sent shudders of longing and admiration down the Belgian Shepherd’s spine. It was maddening, truly.

The long-coated dog wasn’t given anymore time to ponder this however because DaKota had left his mother and was barreling straight towards her. Lady tried to move out of the way but the puppy was surprisingly swift. Only seconds passed before he reached her and pounced on her back. Dramatically, the Tracker collapsed to the cement floor and feigned defeat. Her attacker’s attention was diverted by the echoing sound of paw steps though and soon enough Lady was looking into the eyes of Moose, a black-dappled Great Dane and one of Amaro’s guards. The size of his body was always intimidating but immediately he fixed her with a friendly smile, then asked about the racket they’d been making. Lady grinned back with ease and glanced towards DaKota, who was beside himself with excitement and already explaining the situation to Moose.

”Goodness…” Lady murmured over the nonstop stream of words flowing from DaKota’s chattering mouth. ”I wish I had that much energy,” she mused. The puppy had, of course, stretched the truth. As unfortunate as it was, Keeli had not intended on DaKota aiding in the search for food, at least she had not indicated it. Lady glanced down at the ball of fur who was quaking with sheer anticipation and released a slow, reluctant sigh. No, Keeli did not want them to leave before she returned, but perhaps Lady could fabricate some sort of game? Her brow furrowed as she considered what to say. She didn’t want to disappoint DaKota for he was so very ecstatic. Instead, she wanted to avert his focus. But how to do it?

”Hah!” Lady suddenly laughed aloud, the sound sudden and sure to capture DaKota’s interest. ”Look for food? Alpha DaKota, we needn’t look any further! I see…” The Tracker squinted her eyes as she studied Moose, dragging them across his entire figure and very obviously sizing him up. ”I see a gigantic buffalo right here in front of me!” Lady, with a twinkle of mischief in her brown eyes, lowered her face to DaKota’s and smirked at him. ”What do you think? You and me, I think we can take this buffalo down.” She didn’t wait for a response from the puppy and instead dropped into a hunting stance. Expertly she placed one paw in front of the other and began to creep towards Moose as if he was really prey. She growled at in him in a high-pitched tone, clearly fake but perhaps convincing enough for DaKota. ”I’ll take down this buffalo in your honor, my dear Alpha!” Lady announced. Then, she dashed forward and leaped onto Moose’s splotchy, muscular back.
