Vasili knows English pretty well (though it's accented) because of his CEO mother who wanted him to be successful. So he could communicate with Andrew well enough. If he wants to.
He's rather 'laidback' lazy which gets him in trouble with Sunna (Kendo captain) during practice.

Heads up, you need beginning and end parentheses to quote someone.
Vasili would probably just comment on Andrew's accent (if he even tries to speak Japanese) and say he should stick to English. If he speaks only English, Vasili would say he needs to try speaking more Japanese. Yeah, he's like that.
As far as I can tell, only Vasili, the delinquent, and the captain are in the kendo club. But I don't know for sure.
