I would extremely appreciate if you would first read the rules and guidelines of the art arena discussion thread before you read my rant of the Art Arena Discussion.

I'm completely outraged by the lack of extremism that the moderators are using against art thieves in this thread. I'd like to start by returning to the Rules and Guidelines and read over the rules again. There is only one rule about art theft,

" 2. Dealing with art theft. This forum is not the place to "call out" art thieves, or those you believe to be art thieves; if you believe someone stole or plagiarized a work, find evidence and properly report it. "

This rule explains of how you cannot simply judge someone is an art thief because they're art is *superior*. Other then that, the moderators are asking for gaians to look for evidence. Are the moderators that lazy to look themselves or are they too busy worrying about how much gold they have?

But this is the only rule about art theft. Not one single rule about people who post stolen art. I would like to state that I am not as angry at the art thieves, but I'm extremely mad at the moderators who do not do anything about stating a main rule of, DO NOT POST WORK THAT IS NOT YOUR OWN.

As an example of the moderator's slacking job, I'll use this thread . Posted only four days ago, and this thread hasn't been deleted, reported, or a mod has not even stated the fact this is an art theft. There is a sad fact that the gaians can do a lot better of shunning the art theft then a mod can.

In conclusion, I'd like to end saying that art theft is a crime and you can be fined for it. Please, if you have ever recalled someone else's art as your own, reflect on your actions and really decide if that was a smart statement.

Thank you for reading, and I would expecially love comments and your opinion on this matter.

I personally think it's ridiculous. If you have posted your work on another website that uses the creative commons license, then you can actually be sued for claiming that person's work as your own if you wish to take it that far. It kind of reminds me of DA, where there is porn and a blatant taking of art at times, and nothing is done. The pieces are not taken down or anything.

I really wish more was done. :/
