I've been reading this series lately and with the anime fresh out of production, I can't resist becoming a fan.

Shingeki no Kyojin (aka Attack on Titan) follows the struggle between protagonist Eren Jaeger and enigmatic Titans that have threatened the way of life for him and his human companions. Along with his half-sister Mikasa Ackerman and childhood friend Armin Arlelt, they join the Scouting Legion to fight for their lives and regain their once-safe home.
