Walmart back when I was a Death Note fan I got a couple volumes there also they have Shoujo Beat and Shonen Jump
Borders
Big Lots
anime convention
Game Stop before they stoped selling DVDs thats where I got half of my Wolfs Rain collection and Full Metal Panic Volume 1 at
at Blockbuster you could buy the DVD you are renting

I buy manga from Borders or at conventions for around $5.
At my comic book store they sell manga half priced every year on the first Saturday of May biggrin .
(i don't usually buy anime though ._. )
