There are many things that one comes to expect when they watch much anime. Among these are titles that don't seem to have anything to do with the actual show. Today I'm compiled a list of 'new' titles for some anime that I've seen that I feel fit them much better... even if their original title made sense. It goes without saying that unless you've seen these series, the new titles won't be very amusing. Please feel free to add your own! (Note: Just because I give a mean title to a series doesn't mean I don't like it. I tease because I love!)

Inu Yasha: "For the Love of God, How Many Pieces Are There of This Stupid Jewel?"

Psychic Force: "The Anime of Unfortunate Haircuts."

Trigun: "Nothing Says Entertainment Like Cute Men With Large Weapons."

Kare Kano: "Sweet Merciful Crap. Just Tell Him You Like Him Already!"

Tenchi Muyo: "Chicks Dig Wishy Washy Nerds... in Anime."

Love Hina: "Let's See How Much Fanservice We Can Cram Into One Show!"

Dragon Half: "I Don't Know What the Heck That Was, But Milk Is Now Coming Out of My Nose."

FLCL: "Plot? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Plot!"

Petshop of Horrors: "Contains the Male Character Most Likely To Make Your Manhood Run Away Screaming!"

Yu Yu Hakusho: "I See Dead People... And They Apparently Enjoy Fighting In Tournaments. Go Fig."

Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland: "Don't Be Late For School, Kids -- Or You'll Be Sucked Into a World of Hot to Trot Lesbians!"

Ushio to Tora: "Just Like Lassie, if Lassie Wanted to Eat Timmy and Cause Pain and Suffering for the World."

And a few my friends came up with that I enjoyed!

Neon Genesis Evangelion: "Damn it, kid! Quit your damned crying and get your sniveling a** in the robot!"

.hack//SIGN: "It's the 'Let's guess Tsukasa's gender' gameshow!"

Gundam (all series): "War! Huh! What is it good for? Try
about 15 series, and an assload of spinoffs and manga."

DBZ: "Ever wonder what would happen if five minutes really took around 3 hours?"

Char's Counterattack: "The angstiest years old angst that ever did angst."

Some of those I don't really agree with, or I know could be offending (The Gundam one twinged my nerve a bit) But the Inuyasha one is so damn true....

As did FLCL. Why do so many people think it has no plot?? I guess because it's not presented in the typical linear fashion that so many other anime are, people can't follow it. I think you are going to annoy a lot of people. You basically reduced several popular anime to one negative aspect of each series. Not exactly a crowd pleaser sweatdrop

Oh so true! xd I mean, how many shards are they up to in Inuyasha? Darn too many for me to count. stare I loved all of these and heck, they speak the truth... now, if we can only get the creators to change the titles....

You do realize that:
1) That was an attempt at a humorous generalization of a very complex plot. That's what this whole thread is about.

2) That was listed under the titles made up by my friends. So -I- didn't have anything go over my head.

3) From what I've heard, Evangelion is one of those series that everyone interprets differently. So even if I honestly felt that was all there was to the series, you're being rather snobby by implying that any meaning you had in mind was the right way. Have a little fun.

so true, how my shards of that jewel have been found? making about half the of it. how big are they, and how big are the jewels? come on people, a jewel less than three inches in diamater can't have that many peices that big!

I'm guessing you're another of the people who didn't bother to read the fact that I happen to love most of these anime. Didn't you see the part about "I tease because I love." Huh? Hmm? It's really ironic you're all talking about series going over my head when my loving nudges at the series are going over yours. Sheesh.

No, I read that. I actually found most of these funny, but I was pointing out that a lot of people may not find them funny if they disagree with what you say about an anime they like. Also, FLCL DOES have a plot!!! Most of these are pretty humorous, but to say that a show has no plot is kind of unfair. Its plot is a little more difficult to follow than say, InuYasha, but it's still there.

*Shrug.* A lot of jokes are offensive...most of them, really. Trigun and Petshop Of Horrors, both series that I like, were "made fun of"...but I still find this hilarious.
