we like anime, watch anime, draw anime and talk about anime
but that's it
we don't really take anime that serious
anime is not life
i know that someday everybody will forget what is anime
but that'll be fine
because we can still find something else to like, to love

really, they shun me because I could solve a Rubik's cube in under 3min >< But yeah, I'm a big anime fan, like cosplaying, clothes, mangas etc, but it's not my entire life, I have other things like sports, and Japanese (To talk to family, not for the anime, I have family that lives in Japan ^^). Personally, I'd just pick something they like and tease them over it. You don't deserve to be hurt because of what you like.

most people at my school watch anime. the people who dont, well there ussually try hard hardcores. most people dont really care what you watch.

I had it difficult.

When I was in elementary school, students used to make fun of my best friend and me. They were always teasing us and ruined the anime we draw (we used to make 'comics')

Now only my closest friends now I love anime, because I have seen the behavior of other ppl in my classroom, and they wouldn't positively react if they knew I like anime stare

People laugh at anime at my school too. They tease me but they stop when I ignore them or yell at them. For me it was mostly the older boys who did that. It kind of surprises me how they know I like anime. One boy took my manga and was said "Is there like porn in here?" Then I slapped him. xp

No one ever bothered me in elementary. Then again in St. Louis everyone was really nice. If there was one b***h then others would always back you up.

It might not be cool over here in North America, but people worship(exageration) it other countries.

Like say, the Philippines, i was from there and almost 90% of my class watched anime. And almost nobody made fun of somebody just because they watched anime, maybe the kind of anime they watched, but not just because they watched it.
I think maybe its because anime there is shown in primetime, in like 5 chanels, and one of the normal chanels is 100% anime(Animax).

North America is a far cry from what i used to have before. All i have here is anime every Friday evening, and i dont even have Cartoon Network... crying
So, yeah, maybe that's why people who don't watch anime make fun of people who watch anime, because its not mainstream.....
