The Rejected Olympics officially ends at midnight (23:59 PST) tonight, but you will be able to continue playing games and earn items until later this week.

Edit: There's also an announcement about the announcement at the bottom of that first post, but he makes it a point to point out that the announcement to the announcement pertains to the 28th whereas the original announcement should still be treated separately in that it was made on the 27th and pertains to the scoring ending on the 27th.
