I have no idea when anoning started, I'm actually fairly new to Gaia myself. Yes, generally an inexpensive present (although some anons will get things of wishlists if they are so inclined) and a note, then when you're sending the gift make sure you click on the anonymous box. It's also considered good manners to have a pen name, but I've been known to...not do that. It's all up to the person I guess.

I am quite the opposite though, I'm ready to crawl into bed and get some sleep.

The only thing I don't like about art anons is that I can repay the person that made it.
Though I could probably stalk the person down and show her my appreciation.
