Love stories are beautiful. They are a representation of the human desire to love and be loved in return. Love stories can be about woman and a woman, a man and a woman, or a man and a man. No matter what gender or race or creed, a love story is a love story. It brings out the very emotions within our heart that sometimes we have to forget about in our daily lives in order to get through the day without forgetting to feed the dog or water the plants or do homework.

Love stories, however, often involve struggle. Struggle against another, struggle against passions, struggle against the inevitable. We, as humans, are constantly struggling in our daily lives, and sometimes that struggle can seem a bit meaningless. But, when that struggle is for an emotion so deep, so powerful, that it pulls at the very heartstrings of our soul, it takes on a new meaning. That struggle, in and of itself, makes that feeling so much more than just simple love, although I am not sure there is such a thing.

Love is an emotion that, despite ourselves, lives in all of us. It causes the most bizarre reactions and the best reactions, as well as the worst. It can bring millions of people together, or push two people apart. It can move mountains, cross seas, swim rivers, fight to the death, all just for this feeling that tugs at your heart and makes you feel so happy you can’t breathe.

Some people can find that emotion in several other humans, where as other people can only find it in one or two. But wherever it is found, love is an emotion that affects us all. It is an amazing emotion that should be treasured. However, never attempt to understand it. For millions of years, our race as attempted to try and understand the complexities and nuances of love, and none of the research has come up with any sort of rhyme or reason to it.

That’s because there is no rhyme or reason. Love is illogical, irrational, stupid, silly, and doesn’t make sense in any sort of way. It is not something that can ever be figured out or put in some sort of scientific equation. Sure, there are chemical reactions and blah blah blah, but when it comes down to it, it is an emotion that we will never, ever be able to reason. To put reason to love is like trying to put reason to God.

But this isn’t going to go all religious. That’s not what I’m here for. Moving on.

In conclusion, whenever you feel like crap, go read a love story; one with a hard struggle for the couple and with a lovely happy ending. I guarantee you’ll feel a whole lot better afterward. And never give up hope for love. As humans, we all have the capacity for love in ourselves, and in other people. So never give up. It will come.

May you go in peace and love.

Man, it really is too bad that you had to leave. It's not the same without you....I can't look forward to seeing you again. I guess I'll just have to find some other friends.
