Commenting here since we were getting off topic XD

With truly photographic memory though, one should be able to recall foreign writings. Otherwise that's not truly photographic. A camera doesn't care what language the paragraph is in, after all.

Then there's also the issue of the vastness (not the exactness) of memory. Even if you could recall one page full of foreign writing, there HAS to be things that you don't remember. I don't think the human brain is capable of storing every single information we encounter. Every street sign you pass by, every person that walks by you, every license plate that drives past. The vast majority of the things we experience don't even register in our memory, so it's impossible to remember them. I suppose this is not relevant to the original discussion, though, since if you're a salesperson, the design on a shirt you sell would definitely register.
