I'm 26, female, liberal, childfree, a feminist, pro-choice, a geek, an outspoken b***h, and unashamed of any of it.

I live with my partner of 9 years in delicious sin in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, halfway across the country from my state of birth. We have a neurotic, autistic cat who is in recovery from an eating . We suspect she may not actually be of the genus felis, as she does not chase small woodland creatures, string, or laser pointer dots, but may in fact be an alien life-form disguised as a cat in order to gather information on how to best subjugate humanity. I currently have the most awesome job where I not only am often the only one in the office, but have a boss that acknowledges there isn't always enough work to keep me fully busy, so knitting while I'm calling customers or surfing the web while I'm on hold is perfectly acceptable.

It's probably because I've hit the point where I realize I am building some sort of relationship, however insignificant it may be, have no idea how to go about doing this, and so run away.
