Heh, my mom grew up Lutheren and I grew up Christian, but never really liked it and fairy tale/lore kind of stuff always appealed to me more, and I've always been kind of a nature-freak, and the crap about people going to heaven or whatever never really explained what was with all the ghosts I used to see and talk to when I was younger.
and Just was never happy with the idea of "You have a choice not to believe, but if you don't love and obey me, you're going to hell for eternity" and how hateful so many other christians are and that most of them are always threatening you with hell for not believing what they believe. I grew up christian, I know what the teachings are, and for one it even clearly says that it's not a human's job to judge others, it's gods, and by judging others you're trying to assume the role of god, which itself is sinful

I'm actually the one who got mom into the wiccan/pagan stuff, though she's still a b***h and calls me a fluffy bunny just because I don't do rituals out in the open or whatever crap

Not really, I'm closer to being a shaman than I am a Wiccan
But I just say I'm an Animistic Eclectic Neo-pagan since I don't really fit into just one area (though a lot of people seem to think I'm a shaman until I say something) sweatdrop
I did go from being christian to this though wicca though
