I am Ulquiorra I am an espada in Sousuke Aizen's Arrancar army. The number 4 that signifies my rank is on the left side of my chest (as seen in Bleach manga chaper 271, page 15 after Ichigo's attempt to stab him). As an Arrancar, I was once a hollow, a deceased human soul that is corrupted and consumes other souls, until I removed my mask with the aid of Sousuke Aizen's Hougyoku, or Orb of Distortion.

I am cool and calculating, swiftly analysing my opponents' skills. The full extent of my combat strength is unknown, but as a member of the elite espada, I am probably exceptionally powerful, more so than a Shinigami (Death God) captain. I also have the ability to show others events that I have witnessed by removing my left eyeball and crushing it. It later grows back. The name of his zanpakutou, the sword that seals away my hollow form, is Murciélago (黒翼大魔), which is a Spanish word meaning "bat".
