She posted a link in a thread that I frequent that claimed to lead to an Avatar Arena entry, but in reality, it lead to an off-site fake Gaia login page. Those kind of pages are generally phishing scams or keyloggers used to gain another user's password to access their accounts and hack them. I got an online moderator to delete the post, and the said moderator probably issued the ban. Sorry, but your friend's ban was justified.
