"It was Time"

A cloud that was empty
A life that was filled
It was his time
God was thrilled.
"It's ready for him"
he said to himself
while removing a book
right off from a shelf....
He dusted it off
and opened it up
then looked around
to see Patrick say "What's Up?"
He laughed to himself
then closed it again,
then counted Patrick's friends-
WAY more than ten.
"It is his time,"
said he who is strong
"He will come to me,
It won't be long."
"He has done his job,
I'm satisfied
while only others
have failed when tried."
"He showed everyone
what happiness meant
when into the world
he was sent."
God prepared some wings
and a halo for him
he'd come to heaven
from a world oh so dim.
Patrick showed up
on his record,no crime
God gave him his halo
it was his time.
RIP Patrick, we love you
