it can be good. After they die you don't flush them but then go to your inventory, click on all and select dead fish drop. The bag will be different with every different kind of fish. You select it and it will ask you if you would like to use this item. click yes and it will tell you what item you recieved. so far all i got are gold tiara (540 gold), Gold wrist watch (1050 Gold), and black rim glasses or something like that but it's worth 1200 gold.

You open them to find gift that are worth up to 1200 in store if you buy them.
