Hello visitor. I am Valverine but feel free to call me Val. I have a hard time writing 'about me' sections because I think that my hobbies and interests change, evolve, and grow. However a few things remained constant in my life. I have always been a reader, a writer, and an artist.
Books helped my imagination to flourish and gave me comfort even when I am not at my best. I know this might sound silly but I think of the characters as my own friends, often celebrating their victories and empathizing with their problems. The author's words also gave me guidelines of sorts regarding how to write.
Since I am a very shy person, my self-expression does not come naturally by socializing and public speaking. I tend to express my thoughts better in writing. I try to write daily, whether it is a work of fiction or a diary entry recalling the details of the day. I am far from being a professional but I would like to think that I could write a novel someday. If it gets published or not doesn't really matter as long as I can write something I like and could be proud of.
Ever since I could remember, I always had the urge to draw. I drew pictures on the walls, on furniture, on paper. I drew pictures for myself and for other people. It was simply another medium in which I feel comfortable in. I am in love with all the different styles like realism, abstract, cartoon, caricature, and many more. I truly admire Rembrant's work and hope I could be just as skilled and refined as an artist.

First, when you go to your profile, click "Edit My Profile Layout" on the top right corner of the page. Then, you'll see a floating menu with various options. Click the one that says "Content" --> "Media." A media content box will appear in your profile. Then click "Edit" on the top right of the media content box, and you can paste in the url of the YouTube video you want to play on your profile. If you want it to play automatically, add ?autoplay=1 to the end of the url. Press "Update." Now, you can press "Save" to save your changes, and then press "View" to view your updated profile.
