My real name is... well human name is.. Eddie Brock, Jr. I am Peter Parker's closest childhood friend. I came into contact with the Venom symbiote, a genetically engineered protoplasmic "suit" designed by Richard Parker and my father, Edward Brock, Sr.
Mr. Parker intended the suit to be used for medical purposes in his quest to cure cancer but my father was more interested in the military applications of the suit.
After my father and Mr. Parker died, I continued the research. Peter Parker met up with me one day, and we started to bond over our shared history. I even then told Peter of our legacy, the protoplasmic "suit". Later that night, Peter returned "to continue his father's research by taking a sample" but instead the suit bonds with him. After nearly being driven to murder by the suit, Peter tired to warn me of its danger and he takes the sample to an industrial smoke stack where he destroys it. But I, after having little luck romantically with Gwen Stacy, become furious with Peter when I caught him destroying our "inheritance". I then use a second, larger sample of the protoplasmic "suit" and together we become Venom. I had no control, the suit takes full control of me, driving me to viciously attack Peter at his high school. I.. WE.. then disappear after a flash of light was caused when some power cables come in contact with water on the street. In time I gain full control of the Venom suit after we absorb the remnants of the first sample along with Peter's blood. In doing so, we develop the familiar white spider symbol on our chest.
We are much more physically powerful than Spider-Man, although we may not be as fast or agile. We also don't swing around buildings like Spider-Man with his organic webbing, but instead we use extruded tentacles to swing from building to building. We can even jump over buildings in a.. heh.. single bound. We also find this interesting... We can overload Peter Parker's spider-sense, we cause Peter so much pain that he sometimes cannot move. We have yet to find any weaknesses in ourself.... WE ARE VENOM!!
