I plan on DIY'ing as much of the wedding as I can, as well. I have some great ideas for the invitations (and thank you notes, and namecards), as well as decorations, favours, etc. My dressmaking skills are nonexistant, though, but I've been thinking about going secondhand or renting. I want to keep the whole thing as cost-efficient and green as possible without giving up my fairytale wedding. The bar is tricky. I want an open bar ideally, of course, but I highly doubt we'll be able to do that. I like the idea you did, of a couple glasses free for each guest and then cash bar after that. We've decided to at least provide our favourite wine free for the toast, and then have it cash after that.
Oh, I'm so excited now that I'm thinking of it! Your dress is lovely, by the way, I saw it on your blog. You looked gorgeous!
