This profile is dedicated to those who have lost their lives to bullying.
I'd like to share a short background story of a 14 year old boy..
His name is Jamey Rodemeyer. He, among numerous others, have been bullied because of his sexual orientation. Not only was he bullied in school, he was also affected online. One day, Jamey decided that he couldn't take it anymore. And so.. he took his own life.
Sometimes we don't realize that there is another human being on the other side of the screen who has feelings just like you. Who are affected with what they read- whether or not they choose to admit it and sometimes we don't realize the weight of our words when we speak them.
Be the change you want to see in this world.
Rest in peace, Jamey Rodemeyer.
My hope here is that for those of you, which I'm sure everyone has in some point in their lives, who have experienced a state of feeling alone, worthlessness, depression, and fear..
to never give up and know that you are stronger than you think. Afterall.. you're still here reading this. Holding on and staying alive in itself is a testament to your strength. And just know.. that you are never alone. If ever you feel like the pain and circumstances are too much and that you need someone to talk to.. please, don't hesistate. Talk out your experiences and situations via PM. I'm always willing to listen. And I promise you this..
It does get better.
