She's bein' a b***h, that's what happened.
I came home in a good mood. I made myself quesadillas in a good mood. I wash my dishes in a good mood. Cathy comes home two hours later.
Aw hell.
She comes marchin' in my room and tells me to follow her. So I do. She takes me to the kitchen, and I see my dishes that I washed sitting on the counter rather than on the dishrack. So She tells me to look at the dishes and see if they're clean. They look perfectly fine to me. So I ask her if she wants me to wash them again. She says 'That's not what I asked, Amanda. Do they look clean to you?" and I told her "They look like dishes to me." So she scoffs and says 'Well do they look clean?" And I just grab the sponge and start washin' 'em and I tell her that if she didn't want me to wash 'em again, she wouldn't have brought me out there. So she actually stands there the whole time and watches me as I wash the dishes again. She stands there as I dry them. She stands there as I put them away. She walks back into her room, satisfied. I just sigh and grit my teeth (very tightly) and I toss the sponge in the sink and walk to my room. I admit that I thought about beating her over the head with the frying pan while I was putting it away, though.
So I go back to my room. A few minutes later, not even two, she comes marchin' back to me and tells me to follow her. I go all tense because I seriously want to hurt her, and she takes me back into the kitchen. She says that I need to clean the counters too because I left a big greasy spot there. Which I didn't, but I wipe down the counters anyway. While I do that, she has the good graces to tell me that she shouldn't have to tell me to clean; I should do it myself. And alerts me that I'm too old to be having to be told. And then does her snobby arrogant nod and I want to rip her throat out. So she leaves the kitchen before I do and I flip her off behind her back. It didn't do much good, but it made me happy, dammit. And then I grabbed a piece of dark chocolate and went back to my room, and here I am.
She's the reason I don't leave my room, you know.
