I would perfer it to be a right to bear swords. I did not model my avatar like this just for no reason. I do love swords. And unlike like a gun the sword can be used for more than just killing, such as in an emergancy it can be used to cut just about anything you can think of, it can be used to make small cuts in a tree to make kindling for a fire, it can be used nonlethally unlike a bullet it doesn't have to seriously injure the person. It takes alot of time and energy to learn how to use a sword effectively and so if people are as lazy as they are said to be most wouldn't bother with the effort. They also look alot better in my opinion. they hasv been around since the dawn of civilization, they represent nobility and morality. They are just about as hard to care for as a gun I've never even seen a gun in real-lif) They keep the fighting one on one, inoccent people are much less likely to accidentilly cut someone in half with a sword than accidentilly pull a trigger on a gun. They look flashy and can be decorative only as well. They can not be concealed as easily as a gun so random violence would drop. And overall guns are mere killing impliments, swords can be so much more...and it's not as easy to kill with a sword as it is with a gun...and you don't have the option of blocking with a gun whereas with a sword you do.
Don't get me wrong I know the sword will not be replacing the gun anytime soon ...unless someone invents the lightsaber for real.
