I had a few years when I didn't go to shows, it was terrible. ;_;
But then that first show I had back, it was like going back in time and experiencing the joy all over again. (: Hopefully you can have an experience like that.

Making clothes isn't as hard as you would think, it's actually pretty easy. All you need is a sewing machine with the basic stitches, nothing fancy if you are a student or beginner.
Im baby sitting those children I told you about atm, they are asleep and im at their place. When I get home if im not too tired out, i'll send you links to blogs for fashion and sewing if you'd like. As well as youtube channels I watch, they are very helpful. Also i'll reccommed you some books. If you are currently on a break, use this summer to brush up on sewing skills, get practice crafting a few starter pieces.

Oh no, small towns make it rough to find shows. :///
Do you have a way to get into the nearest city for shows? o:

That's so awesome. @_@ Did you tag the posts about their band / the concert? o: And you should definitely try to go to another show soon. [: I like small shows so they're easy to find, at least in my area haha. (Sacramento area of California, weirdly a lot of post-hardcore shows and origin of DGD <3)

Most colleges/universities will supply sewing machines and they would only advise you to get your own in the middle of your course. Like for us here in England they advised us to get sewing machines during our second year (idk if that would be junior or sophomore years over there) your first year you can pretty much survive without sewing much. They'll just teach you a bunch of pattern cutting and textile basics such as print and so on etc. Sketchbooks can be easily acquired there are many cheap places online that can offer deals. If your college will offer you a grant/bursary loan etc you can pretty much get a good quality machine for $200 (£200 over here) or less if you buy secondhand or used ones that are in good condition.

Nice! I like your music tastes too. I've seen I See Stars and DGD a few times, but never Chiodos. ): There's a free Slaves/A Lot Like Birds/some other openers concert this Friday, so I'm excited haha.
